Paul Junior - Firing Line [Video]

Paul Junior sends a powerful and emotional message with his new Music Video of his debut single 'Firing Line'. He brought in one of Denver's best and well known videographers to work with; Jeremy Pape of Collective Culture. The video tackles issues we are dealing with in today's world such as Police Brutality, racial profiling, PTSD, and the Healthcare system.

Paul Junior is currently making his transition from a Hip Hop artist to a prominent Pop/R&B artist, Soul singer, and Producer. He spent his last 7 years of his professional career primarily as a rapper a part of the group Fresh Breath Committee. During his tenure with FBC, he handled all of the recording and mixing, and helped with some of the managerial duties which included marketing, promotions, and booking. Fresh Breath Committee gained a 'Denver's Best Hip Hop Album' award in 2010, followed by 7 years in a row of 'Best Hip Hop Group' nominations by Westword, before being named a 'Denver Music Icon' in 2014. Because of his hard work with the group, it was hard for him personally to pursue a solo career at the same time. Most of his FBC counterparts were able to work on side projects and focus on their solo careers, while he made the choice not to because of the group.

The last 4 years he began focusing on his singing much more and branched out into the Denver Funk/Cover Band scene and headed bands like Funkiphino, Over Soul'd, Hip Pocket, and a being a member of a big Michael Jackson Tribute Band called Forever Dangerous. These band experiences enabled him to perform w/ Funkiphino at the Denver Broncos Super Bowl Parade in 2016 in front of a crowd of 1 Million, opening for 3OH!3 and Big Head Todd.

The last 2 years he has been working with his partner Nick Torres on opening and running the recording studio Mint Audio, located in Denver's Art District.

It's been a long journey, and now it's finally his time. Paul Junior's new music video and solo debut is upon us. Released on April 19, 2017, this single will eventually lead up to his debut solo album titled 'Santa Fe Drive' in late 2017.

'Firing Line' is co-written by Jon Portillo and Paul Junior, features prominent Guitar work by Denver singer/songwriter David Henning, and is also produced by Paul Junior. The video stars Brian Milton in a powerful lead role, along with songwriter Jon Portillo as the Police Officer. You can also catch a cameo by Denver Hip Hop favorite, Bianca Mikahn.
