Lizzo Drops New Mixtape My Face Hurts From Smiling
Lizzo is back with her new mixtape, titled “My Face Hurts From Smiling.” Its the self-love, bad bitch, workout anthem filled project we didn’t know we needed this summer. And yes she left zero crumbs.
From the jump, Lizzo made it clear this tape wasn’t just a vibe, it was a statement. With powerhouse production from heavy hitters like Zaytoven and Tay Keith, every beat slaps like it was crafted to shake your core confidence back into place.
And the features? Insane. The Houston native linked up with two queens in their own right, Doja Cat (our favorite L.A. genre-bender) and SZA (St. Louis’ R&B princess). The energy gave exactly what is was supposed to give.
But Lizzo didn’t stop there. She brought in a surprise moment featuring TikTok icon Shera Seven, aka Miss Sprinkle Sprinkle. Her viral remix verse on “Whim Whammie Remix” (the one TikTok snatched down... but the girls know). Made it onto the tracklist. Lizzo really said, “I’m giving the girls bars and the blueprint.”
Throughout My Face Hurts From Smiling, Lizzo serves truth, shade, and empowerment. The message? “F*ck that man, fix your crown, and remember—you are the prize.”
She also directly addresses the online commentary she’s faced around her body (pre- and post-weight loss) with honesty and authority. Then there’s the track “Gotcho Bitch,” where she name drops and uplifts the rap girlies, proving there’s space for everyone to eat, unless you’re Candace Owens. (Yeah, she said that.)The tracklist flows with intention, the transitions are smooth, and the energy is consistent from beginning to end. Whether you're healing, hyping yourself up, or just hitting the gym, this mixtape needs to be in your rotation.
My Face Hurts From Smiling is out now on all platforms.
