New Music Video: Born - "Don Julio Pena"
New music video from Boston’s Born (of G.Dot & Born). The video’s a tribute towards his mentor Don Julio Pena, who’s helped him sharpen his skills as a fighter, and instilled in him the discipline to pursue his goals outside of the ring. The video’s taken from his Born Flexin mixtape which dropped back in May.
The IGNORVNCE-produced banger, which appears on Born’s recently released Born Flexin project, serves as the soundtrack for visuals filled with footage from Pena’s career. The video is a collaboration between Josh Bliss Lighten and Third Eye Fly, who used clips of the fighter knocking out his competition and also training at the Hardknocks gym.
As dope as it is to what Pena do his thing in the ring—that clip where he elbows his opponent is just brutal—it’s the training footage that really hits home. That’s because you get to see exactly what guest Geo Fendi means when he raps, “Heart of a lion, Don Julio with the uppercuts,” on the hook. This is a man who works himself to the bone to do what he loves and help others reach their goals.
“Julio is a great example of a stand-up man,” Born says of his hero. “He’s a champion at heart, and he motivates everyone while showing them it’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up.”
That right there is what inspires the Boston emcee, who himself has used Muay Thai as a way to stay disciplined and focused on his music career. As for feeling like Don Julio Pena? “It’s feeling like a champion!” Born exclaims.

In an interview with Indianapolis' DJ Nava, Skypp says, "In the song, the stage is a symbol of your platform. It doesn't matter if you're a musician, comedian, model, hair stylist, athlete, teacher etc. The bottle of water is a symbol of your faith. That's all we have until it gets better. It's about rising to the occasion. No one knows what we go through and no one has to know. Make it look effortless. It's not for everyone so if you're going to do it you have to do it right and set that example. That's the message that I'm sending."

Despite the lack of support and local opportunities he is still making huge efforts to present his music to a large audience thanks to all the music lovers around the world who support great music across all social media platforms. He is part of the new wave of young artist such as Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, Travis Scott and the like who sing and rap. I think it's safe to say Fanom is next to blow!

Mark Carson Ft. Marcus Allen - Rewind
Charismatic rap artist Mark Carson teamed up with fellow artist Marcus Allen in order to create brand new single "Rewind". The song, produce by talented Polo Boy Shawty, showcases a sound that falls somewhere in between the authentic grit of the old school and the vibrant focus of modern-day hip-hop productions. The song subtly hints at sub-genres such as trap, but Mark & co also bring in some massive funk influences that add to the groove and dance-friendliness of the track. One of the highlights of this tune is definitely the lyrical flow and the vocal performances: there's undiscussed chemistry between Marcus and Mark, and the producer, Polo Boy, really managed to help the pair capture such chemistry within a lively and energetic song:

JeremyRemond - Inhale
JeremyRemond is back again with yet another crafty single, but this reveals another style that he brings to the table. On par for his second single release Remond drops a cool Freestyle entitled "Inhale". With melodic strings and wavy drums his wordplay shines through like the rising sun through cracked window-shades. As if he has something to prove, he embarks on showing more versatility and rhythmic flow as he dips in and out of each drum kick. Inhale shows new lyricism that hasnt been heard from Remond, though this is only his Second single, he's proving to listeners that he is hear to stay.
