Franchise - No Fears
new Single off Franchise's upcoming album "BreakingMirrors"
new Single off Franchise's upcoming album "BreakingMirrors"
The year 2016 is coming to a close which means cuffing season is on the horizon. While some are becoming acquainted with their new significant others, singer-songwriter and producer, Kavin Donnell, is arrogantly ignoring a swarm of desperate attempts to rekindle past relationships before the ball drops.
In his latest release, DND (Do Not Disturb), Donnell reminds prior lovers that he will not be bothered this holiday season with inadequate excuses on why they haven't supported him along his musical journey. In a jazzy yet upbeat infused track with vocal samples from classic 90s R&B, the 21 year-old Inglewood native reminds us all that the best resolution to an ex lover's attempt to revive an old flame is to simply put your phone on Do Not Disturb.

Have you ever noticed that whenever fans praise a rapper’s lyrics or deem him or her one of the greats, it seems to bother Lupe Fiasco?
For example, he seemed to be annoyed a couple of years ago when people were falling head over heels for Kendrick Lamar. If you recall, Lupe said a lot of rappers were better than K Dot, and he kind of downplayed all of the critical acclaim he was receiving.
This time around, the ‘Kick Push’ rapper appears to be bothered by the overall talk surrounding J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only album, so he remixed the song “Everybody Dies” and admitted that other rappers getting attention frustrates him.
“Too many best rappers, not enough best rhymes, though / Guess I’m delusional, used to doing it all the time so / Maybe I’m just jaded / Out to touch and unrelated / Unable to connect greatness based on the person who makes it / Or maybe I just hate it,” spit Lupe.
Of course, it’s possible the Chicago rhymer is merely engaging in friendly competition, and he doesn’t have anything personal against Cole. But if you think about it, why haven’t people like Cole, Kendrick, Chance The Rapper and other like-minded MCs openly embraced Lupe?
Better yet, why hasn’t Mr. Fiasco rolled out the welcome mat for those particular rappers or worked on a bunch of songs with them? Again, it seems like Lupe doesn’t like other conscious rappers getting props, and he wants to always be considered No. 1 in that area of Hip-Hop.
You can check out his new N.E.R.D. song below.
Kanye West outed himself as a Donald Trump fan last month.
Then he was taken in for a psychiatric evaluation that lasted days.
He’s better now, and this morning he was spotted entering Trump Tower for a meeting with the President Elect.

According to TMZ, ‘Ye requested the meeting, and The Donald granted it.
No word on what was discussed, with Trump telling reporters after the 15 minute meeting that they are “just friends.”
But given Trump’s team’s struggled to get an A lister to perform at his inauguration, maybe ‘Ye will make his return to the stage on January 20.

Kids in The Rain Part 2 is a cheerful hip ho banger linking good times, nostalgia and production from Polish supremo JF. London rapper Jonny Virgo spits double time on a chilled soul vibe, with a catchy chorus, dope lyrics and a track that works it right.
Jonny Virgo is a rapper and producer from South London who makes interesting, off the wall hip hop. His music fuses the boom-bap of drums with lo-fi synths and genres from deep house to calypso via dubstep and dancehall. He is a true live star, tearing down venues with visual stage shows, off the top freestyles and a desire to make sure that any venue he touches is set the fuck off.
Take a trip to Pro Era rapper Aaron Rose’s stomping grounds on “Parkside Ave,” the grimy new single from his much anticipated new EP, Elixir.
Whereas previous single “Swank Corleone” was a straight-up banger, “Parkside Ave” showcases the Brooklyn artist’s ability to flow effortlessly over a grittier instrumental. It comes courtesy of J57, who provided a majority of the beats on Elixir. And on this track, his production is all murk and head-nodding drums.
Of course, the artist formerly known as A La $ole uses the Boom bap backdrop to his advantage, especially when nearly blacking out during the final verse. It’s another impressive display of just how technically gifted Rose is as an emcee, but more importantly, it’s another reminder that Elixir is shaping up to be one of the year’s finest Hip-Hop releases.
“Parkside Ave” can now be streamed, and is available for download as the second instant grat track off the iTunes pre-order for Elixir, which drops next Friday, December 16th, via Coalmine Records.

MelodySoul is extremely proud to present an exceptionally talented production duo based out of Kansas City, MO.
