“First off, I recently combined forces with a good friend of mine and great producer, Satchmo, who was apart of my ‘God Got A Funny Way Of Showin’ It!’ project I released back in January. We have created a new duo named ‘4rf.Q’ (pronounced fourf quarter), and we have been wrking on making music getting better with each track and bettering our chemistry.

Azusena - Better

Following on from her beguiling debut ‘Crosby’, Fiction Records’ newest signing, 23 year old British-American Azusena today releases the follow up, ‘Better’. The track, produced by Dan Carey, sees Azusena’s distinctive and captivating vocals weaving in and out of dense, absorbing electronica.  As with ‘Crosby’, the track has a hypnotic quality, linked to Azusena’s belief in the power of the Mantra, although where ‘Crosby’ lyrically tackled the theme of the ‘untouchable muse’,  ‘Better’ is about deep rooted insecurities and how they are affected by relationships with those around you, as Azusena explains;

“Better is a deep attachment to someone very close to you because of the way they understand you and your behaviour but all the insecurities you have are rooted from them anyway. “

Themes of colour and the energies they stimulate run throughout Azusena’s creative output. As with ‘Crosby’ she painted the artwork for the track herself using deep blues with hints of red provide the perfect aesthetic accompaniment to the track

"Better was one of the songs I painted the template to while listening to the song. Those were the colours that came to me. The words felt like an ocean scene".

Bio: Born in Erie, PA, William Weyes (pronounced "wise") started writing poetry as a child and started rapping in the 7th grade. He recorded music in his bedroom with old equipment given to him by his brother who was a professional DJ at a local night club. Still based out of Erie, he travels back and forth to Pittsburgh to record at ID Labs where he records with Big Jerm. Having struggled with depression and anxiety since he was young, Willy uses these battles as inspiration for a lot of the music that he writes today.

Face of Man - Lavender

"Lavender" is the first single off Face of Man's forthcoming sophomore LP, Bouquet, out on 29 June 2017 on Mr. Records. It's our most personal song, written when I was with my mother in the final stages of her cancer. It explores the mixing of the mundane and the sublime, and the sadness that was cut by the strange beauty of her resilience.

Face of Man is a collaboration between Alex Silva, Jesse Chevan, and Evan Johnson. They joined the Mr. Records family in 2017 for their second LP, Bouquet. For their sophomore release Face of Man continues its project of pop maximalism - high life guitar layered over the subs and crackles of modern pop production, R&B vocal flights nestled into modular art rock structures - with a plaintive, midwestern candor. Thematically, the LP explores female relationships and their variegated forms: the familial, the lustful, and the romantic. Bouquet, despite it's melancholy, lifts the listener with lush, contrasting colors and an impression of gradual unfolding.

After starting the year off strong getting invited to headline Winterclash, the biggest rollerblading competition in the world, this year just outside of Amsterdam then continuing on to his 2nd Headlining European Tour, West Coast Artist 60 East returns with the Artwork and Single to his new project.

Almost There is the first Single off "The Freeway Series Vol.2: Cruise Control", which is the sequel to 60 East's critically acclaimed EP debut. For the follow-up, 60 collaborated with East Coast producer Phil The Pain, who produced the project in its entirety. The Music Video for "Almost There" will be dropping June 6th and features cameos from A-F-R-O, Devin The Dude, Mr. Green and Tek of Smif N Wessun.
