The arrangement and build isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel but simply relies on an engaging performance of intelligent and well-articulated writing. Both sets of vocals, Simone’s and STLE GLD’s, make their points in entertaining fashion. The writing lands with precision and the track has a nice build and groove musically giving it a very polished feel that hit me right in the gut.”

“Grace Weber is a bad ass. A sultry vocalist, a talented songwriter, and a strong-willed soul willing to unflinchingly speak her mind. IF that doesn’t make a person a bad ass, I don’t know what does.

’Sideways’ is a slow tempo track about taking back your confidence and power. The track has a definite R&B groove and a soulful vibe but still has a bit of Pop sensibilities underneath all of that. ”

“An interesting timber to the vocals catches your attention right away. Lyrically the writing is strong and the melody fits well with the performance. The backing chant is a bit overdone in much of the music that toes that Indie Rock/Americana/Folk vibe and here too, it did feel a bit extraneous , but overall ‘Sideways’ moves forward in a positive manner.”
