Toronto by-way-of Paris, Steven Vidal aka STWO has teamed up with Roy Woods, one of OVO Sound’s key players, to release “You, World, or Myself via Ultra Records - LISTEN HERE. STWOs ambient, sleek production and melancholy tone of Woods’ vocals build off each other to create a track that is minimal in composition, but deep in emotion. “You, World, or Myself,” is a strong follow-up on STWO’s continued collaborations with the community who shaped today’s hip-hop and R&B sound.
After ‘Neither do I Feat. Jeremih’, I wanted to make something more light and when I made the beat I thought of Roy Woods right away, really happy with it, it worked out perfectly,” shares STWO.
Stwo (pronounced "stew") has come a long way since initially garnering the attention of many when he released his track "Loving U" in 2014, which has amassed over 40 million streams on SoundCloud and Spotify in the years since then. Stwo’s past work has also brought the best out of some of hip-hop’s most formative acts. Earlier this year, Stwo collaborated with hip-hop artist 6lack on records from his East Atlanta Love Letter album which debuted at #3 on The Billboard Hot 100. Prior to 2018, the French producer and DJ has collaborated with artists such as Drake, Frank Ocean, Jeremih, Sevdaliza, Daniel Ceasar, Majid Jordan, and more industry heavyweights. Aside from Stwo’s work in hip-hop and R&B, he’s also made his mark on the dance music industry. “You, World, or Myself,” is out now, stay tuned for more from STWO in 2019.
