This song is about finding a girl that is going to "Hold it Down" meaning she is going to stay true to the relationship. She isn't going to be like other girls that cheat on you when you're out of town. I'm putting this girl through a test to make sure that she'll stay loyal.
Following the successful launch for their debut album Hey Stranger in summer 2016 (including BBC Radio 2 & BBC London playlistings, live appearance on ITV’s Weekend with Aled Jones & front page feature in Blues & Soul Magazine), Black Dylan return with their new single Don’t Wanna Be Alone.
It’s an uptempo and energetic track, delivering a sensitive message with a foot-tappingly good mood, incorporating horns and dynamic classic synth stabs to give the song a playful and captivating groove. Yet again Nuplex proves his skills as an eloquent soul producer which, combined with Wafande’s distinctive and unique vocals, makes Don’t Wanna Be Alone a strikingly punchy tune.
Wafande describes the song as "...a very relevant song that deals with loneliness, which I think is a huge social problem. Both the loneliness that comes when people live their lives through their iPhones and iPads, but also those who are so lonely that they do not have family or friends”.
Black Dylan recently performed live on the Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s Big Christmas TV Show and in January at Eurosonic Festival in The Netherlands. This summer they will play at Cornbury Festival in the UK, with more shows to be announced soon.

On his second wind Shem Bey has summoned the energy to produce another work. This track produced by Flying Lotus entails the terms of his psyche as he unfolds social constructs and personal issues. Nothing major for an artist who faces his existence individually as his own biggest competitor.
Louis Futo has a production style that brings out the most infectious performances of the vocalists he collaborates with, so it’s only fitting that his forthcoming single is in tandem with the ever-intricate duo RKCB (producer Riley Knapp and vocalist Casey Barth). Titled “Surreal,” the follow up to Futon’s 2016 smash “Wasted On You” (15 million+ streams online) is a dense, velvety smooth outing that finds Barth making it outright intoxicating with a sultry blend of pop and r&b sensibilities. In regards to how the track came about, Futon said “I wanted to create something really fresh and soulful with this one,” while RKCB noted “When we heard the track it was so immediate to us. We absolutely fell in love with the world it creates and just wanted to bring people in with us. It makes us feel almost out of control, yet entirely present and so in love with the moment.” Already having toured with ODESZA and released official remixes of artists like Anderson .Paak and ZHU, Futon looks to make 2017 a defining year after the release of “Surreal” as he’ll be embarking on a headline tour this spring with new tunes and fan favorites in tow (all confirmed dates below with more coming soon) after recently making appearances at festivals like Okeechobee and CRSSD.
