Just when the days of Jay Z and Drake trading sneak-disses seemed behind us, Hov may have just called out the Canadian rhymer on “Shining,” the latest musical offering from DJ Khaled.
After the surprise record dropped Sunday night (February 13), internet sleuths were quick to locate and fastidiously decipher what some see as a diss toward Drizzy.

On “Shining,” which also features Beyoncé, Jay Z raps: “I know you ain’t out here talkin’ numbers, right / I know you ain’t out here talkin’ summers, right / I know you ain’t walkin’ ’round talkin’ down / Sayin’ boss shit when you a runner, right?”
The jab from Jay — who’s known for his many summertime hits — could serve as a response to Drake’s verse on the 21 Savage-assisted “Sneakin.'”
With Drake’s More Life playlist project promised before the end of February, and Jay Z seemingly working on a new project behind the scenes, fans probably won’t have to wait long for the next volley in this war of words.

James Chatburn has dropped his first single of 2017, after an invitation by LA tastemaker label Soulection to be part of their 6th birthday " Promise Once More " compilation, alongside heavyweights such as IAMNOBODI and ESTA.
"Omens" showcases James' incredible development as an artist. Sparse production built on handcrafted samples, synthesizers, drum machines, guitars and lush vocal layers, "Omens" moves with subtle lifts and drops, drawing on a more minimal approach and allowing the listener to soak in the vocals' melodic and lyrical content.
The Australian singer, songwriter and producer only had one release last year - debut EP 001 , but is gearing up to release a wealth of new music in 2017.
Mostly known for the hard hitting beats he has crafted for himself, “Treat Yourself” finds DaiN utilizing his unique style to produce for some of the best talents in current Hip-Hop & R&B. The EP features collaborations with Black Spade, LA’s Modern Funk queen Moniquea, Seattle’s Malice & Mario Sweet, Rozzi Daime, and up and coming Portland songstress Blossom.
Drawing inspiration from great producers like J Dilla, DJ Quik, and Kev Brown, DaiN brings a unique swing and style to the table with his signature drums, bass lines, and keys. And, much like DJ Jazzy Jeff’s seminal “The Magnificent”, DaiN’s “Treat Yourself” perfectly melds cutting edge Hip-Hop production with top tier singing and emceeing.
Instantly recognizable with a sound all its own, DaiN’s “Treat Yourself” EP is the release for those who love expertly produced, beat driven R&B and Hip-Hop.

The decision to become a rapper in 2017’s all but watered-down state of hip hop, is often followed by a stream of trolls, eye rolling, and fake positivity from pretty much anyone who has an opinion and internet access. That being said, the decision to drop of school to pursue a career in rap is likely to make that stream exponentially worse and leave friends and family scratching their heads. Yuba City native (and college dropout) Scotti Bishop address some of the backlash he’s received from his ambitious decisions in his new single “Business.” The Canis Major produced track features Scotti aggressively scolding his critics over some “head in the clouds” type of melodies’ provided by Major, taking the song in opposite directions while still maintaining a consistent tone throughout. Bishop referred to “Business” as having a “I’m not mad, i’m disappointed” vibe.
