Isabelle Brown - "I'm Just Me"
Only Having A Laugh' is the astonishing debut mixtape from Isabelle Brown, which is available in full today.
Isabelle Brown is an old soul trapped in the body of a fearless fourteen year-old; as inspired by the rich emotions of Nina Simone or the force-of-nature energy of Tina Turner as that blend of old-school R&B, jazz and hip-hop influences found in A Tribe Called Quest. Isabelle's curious, contemporary twist on these classic sounds is explored across the seven tracks of her first mixtape, 'Only Having A Laugh'. Largely written and recorded when she was just twelve years old, early highlights 'Pot of Gold' (a track effectively about finding your potential, featuring Arizona rap trio Injury Reserve) and 'Hey Romeo' (a blistering Eric B and Rakim bootleg, imagining a performance for someone who has no idea you exist) have been met with widespread acclaim. The remainder of the project is similarly refreshing and infectious in its exploration of growing up: from the protective, hip-hop groove of 'Armour' to the tender but defiant 'I'm Just Me', there's a constant thread of playful experimentation throughout, confirming Isabelle Brown as a vocalist and songwriter of boundless promise.
Isabelle Brown's story thus far is not that of your typical, potentially-precocious teen star-in-waiting: hard graft, grit and vulnerability, those core values of true Soul music, underpin even her most powerhouse vocals. Born and raised in Brighton, she wrote her first love song at the age of seven ("which when you think back," she says now, "is an absolute laugh, as I'd never even kissed a boy but thought I was the number one romance guru"). Brought up between two creative, unconventional households - her parents separated around the same time - Brown's irrepressible voice slowly began to draw on experiences of her own. She has spent the last couple of years singing, writing, performing or recording every weekend or school-holiday, with a close-knit circle of friends, collaborators and family protecting her (largely from her own furious ambition to "get on with it") every step of the way.
Balancing youthful, restless innocence with innate musical maturity, 'Only Having A Laugh' is an in fact deadly serious introduction to Isabelle Brown, a new artist seemingly quite simply born to do it.

Sam Woolf and the Como Brothers - "On It"
Singer-songwriters Sam Woolf and The Como Brothers are releasing " On It ", the soulful new single from the upcoming EP Backbeat in the Morning. The single and EP were co-written and co-produced by The Como Brothers and Woolf, and recorded in New York City with Grammy-winning engineer Kenta Yonesaka (Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar). To celebrate the single and EP, Woolf and the Como's kicked off 2018 with an enthusiastically received release party performance on Long Island, New York. After gaining attention on American Idol in 2014, Woolf quickly debuted at #9 on Billboard's Heatseekers in 2014 with his EP Pretend produced by Grammy-winning producer Danny Blume (Iggy Pop, Jewel). For Backbeat in the Morning, New York's The Como Brothers teamed up with Sam. Inspired by pop, rock, blues, and hip-hop, the Como Brothers have established themselves as premier singer-songwriters working with industry legends like drummers Steve Jordan, Aaron Sterling and keyboardist Andy Burton. Their music has been placed in MTV's Real World Portland & St. Thomas, E! Network's Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Oxygen Channel's Best Ink, two Indie movie Soundtracks and a Canon Consumer Electronics Trade Show Commercial. Their songwriting has been recognized by receiving numerous songwriting awards.
Combining pop and rock with soul and hip-hop, drawing from influences ranging from Justin Timberlake and The Beatles, the six singles on Backbeat In The Morning showcase the musicality of the trio. Sam's voice, which Keith Urban compared to butter, shows a beautiful range. Matt Como laid down grooving bass while Andrew Como played guitar, drums, and traded off singing lead vocal with Woolf throughout the EP. "Coming Home" opens the EP with optimistic lyrics set to Sam and Andrew's dulcet harmonies amidst Andrew's breezy guitar strums and wistful harmonica blasts. "On It" is a smooth groove with funky guitar licks. The hip-hop vibe continues with Andrew rapping on "Diamonds on My Chain" while Woolf sings the hook. The groove rolls on with "Twisted" hitting a romantic three-part harmony finish between the trio aptly titled "Sunshine."

Mike11 ft. Jeremih - "My Tata"
““My Tata,” the latest single from rising guitarist, songwriter and producer Mike11 may be the first song to be inspired by a Netflix Original Series. After watching the hit Netflix series “Narcos,” the song’s theme emerged after Jeremih found his inspiration in the nickname for Pablo Escobar’s wife Maria Victoria Henao, Tata.
In “My Tata,” Tata represents the perfect woman that all men seek, a woman who stands by her man through the good and the bad.
Released by Muzfam Records, “My Tata” features R&B heavyweight Jeremih who wrote the lyrics and was produced by 8x Grammy winner Scott Storch. “My Tata” is now available on all digital retail platforms!
Influenced by hip-hop, R&B, and pop music, “My Tata” also appeals to Latin and European audiences as well. Mike11 lends his enthralling Portuguese guitar to the track, as well as lyrics in Spanish like “Amor” and the mix of “Yo Quiero” “Just you,” which means “I want just you (Tata).”

Growing up in the small coastal town of Daulphin Island, Alabama, Elley Duhé always felt she was different from other kids her age. This pushed her towards the comfort of music and inspired a life-long passion for singing and songwriting. At the age of 14 Elley wrote her first song with a guitar she received as a gift from her father. She would gather with her family and have jam sessions with her dad and uncles, finding inspiration to create music from the deep southern art, food, and culture that surrounded her.
