Born in Paris, originating from the West Indies Blastar began to work on music at a young age on a Bontempi synthesizer (90's model). At 6 years old, he could play already by ear. His father used to say he has a gift. His first songs were influenced by black and world music. As the years went on, he developed a certain versatility to his music. He's able to compose Rap, R&B, Pop, Dancehall ...etc. By the age of 19, the best french Caribbean music label proposed a collaboration to him to work on several projects for some of the biggest West Indian artists (Admiral T, Krys). The style of Blastar took shape as he mixed hip-hop and world music vibes in his compositions.

In 2006, he met one of the most influential hip-hop managers named Oumar Samake (a.k.a. Oumardinho) and together they created the french famous indie label Golden Eye Music which will reveal talented artists like Joke, Dosseh and Dinos. This entity would allow Blastar to develop his music, sign with Universal Music Publishing and work with french multi-platinum artists such as Diam's, Rohff, La Fouine, Mac Tyer, 113, Sofiane, Vitaa and many others. French urban artists have come to appreciate his style. His discography has more than 80 songs and he has even been able to crossover and collaborate Joke and Pusha T, Leck and Tyga, Fedia and Beenie Man.

In 2017, Blastar plans to release his first solo project which "A Gynois Story" will feature upcoming international artists like Kenny Vulcan (UK), Lorelle Howard (US), Gracy Hopkins (Europe) and many more. His latest venture is a remix of "MATH" by the talented soul singer Quiñ from L.A.

South London Hip-Hop artist, AKS, teams up with the soulful songbird, Obenewa (Huxley, Walter Ego), for the soul-stirring new single, “Real Deal” taken from his critically acclaimed sophomore EP, Train of Thought, which earned the rapper two nominations at the inaugural Unsigned Music Awards and has been supported by BBC 1xtra, The Source, Earmilk, DJ Booth and Radar Radio amongst others.

Produced by frequent collaborator DemDrums (PartyNextDoor, EA Games, Joe Grind), Real Deal paints a vivid image of AKS’ thoughts on the landscape of music and his longing for honesty and authenticity from his artistic counterparts. Rapping eloquently over a medley of melancholy keys and muted saxophone riffs, the track infuses a modern day bounce with the traditional Jazz, oozing soul in a way that is fast becoming a hallmark for the South London native.

Obenewa’s beautifully lush vocals on the chorus really caps off this passionate track as she softly interprets AKS’ penmanship and the main theme of the song.

Only Having A Laugh' is the astonishing debut mixtape from Isabelle Brown, which is available in full today.

Isabelle Brown is an old soul trapped in the body of a fearless fourteen year-old; as inspired by the rich emotions of Nina Simone or the force-of-nature energy of Tina Turner as that blend of old-school R&B, jazz and hip-hop influences found in A Tribe Called Quest. Isabelle's curious, contemporary twist on these classic sounds is explored across the seven tracks of her first mixtape, 'Only Having A Laugh'. Born and raised in Brighton, she wrote her first love song at the age of seven ("which when you think back," she says now, "is an absolute laugh, as I'd never even kissed a boy but thought I was the number one romance guru"). Brought up between two creative, unconventional households - her parents separated around the same time - Brown's irrepressible voice slowly began to draw on experiences of her own. Singer-songwriters Sam Woolf and The Como Brothers are releasing " On It ", the soulful new single from the upcoming EP Backbeat in the Morning. The single and EP were co-written and co-produced by The Como Brothers and Woolf, and recorded in New York City with Grammy-winning engineer Kenta Yonesaka (Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar).
