      Modlee - Queendom [Review]

January 28, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, R&B

      Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Modlee reminds me of a female D.R.A.M. but a little smoother. I think a collab between them would be really dope! Her single is “Queendom” is chill and I think it would sound dope at a large kickback! 3.5/5”

PJ - This Is What It Looks Like [Review]

January 28, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, Music Videos, Indie Pop

          Rating: 5 out of 5

“Is it unfair to give extra points because PJ is a African-American female with natural hair before I even hear her voice? Welp! You’ll be okay cause guess what?! The girl can sing too! & it’s not necesarilly your normal r&b/soul black girl music but it is definitely still #BlackGirlMagic ! Her song “This Is What It Looks Like” has a country hometown feel to it that people from all backgrounds can enjoy! I hope to hear more from her soon. PJ! Hit me girl!”

            Alex Kramer - Testimony [Review]

January 28, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, Rock

            Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“This song made me put a Thizz face on and nod my head! The intro jam session is funky to say the least! When the vocals of Alex Kramer finally started I honestly felt like his tone and raspyness was a perfect match for the music. I wish there was a little more soul at times in his voice but “Testimony is a solid record! 3.5/5”

Jay Elly - All On Me ft. Dg the Kid [Review]

January 28, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, R&B, Rap

                Rating: 4 out of 5

“From the start of the track I found myself really digging “All On Me” by artist Jay Elly. The song had all the elements of what’s popular in the music game right now. That bounce, sway, and cadence. As the song went on though I started feeling like maybe it wasn’t different enough from all of those other songs for it to stand out but I would definitely hear more form this artist! Dg the Kid was a dope feature for the track as well! 4/5”

                  Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“So as I got comfy in my home studio and started listening to Prints Familiar’s “Find Your Dark Corner”, my mom, who is a keyboardist, yells out “You should let me play keys on that!”... And I replied “Mom! It’s not my music” lol I just told that story to say that if my mom likes it, then it must be good. Video was also very different and creative. Bravo. 4.5/5”

The Art Dealer - See You Around feat. Felly The Voice [Review]

January 07, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, R&B, Rap, Soul

                    Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“I’m loving the music on this joint. The lyricist isn’t too bad either, though at times I notice that the timing isn’t as smooth as it could be. The singer reminds me of Bruno Mars a little and his voice definitely helped raise the score for the review of this song. 3.5/5”

Carl Martin - Gotta Be Love [Review]

January 07, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, R&B, Soul

                      Rating: 3 out of 5

“There is something about Carl Martin’s “Gotta Be Love” that I sorta don’t like. Hope you guys don’t mind me being honest for a second but let me keep it 100 real quick. Though every note is on key, Carl Martin’s voice is keeping me from fully enjoying the song! It’s not because he can’t sing! I just really think the song would sound better with someone else singing it! In trying to keep things positive, I will say that Carl Martin definitely has a future as a songwriter! The concept for the track and lyrics and arrangement are all on point but I just want to hear a different voice singing the same song! Does that make sense? What do you guys think? 3/5”

I wish it was more of her and less of the male features she has throughout the song. They definitely lowered the score but her voice is the reason this track is being considered. mI would love to hear more from her. 2.5/5”

                                  Foursix - Twisted Metal [Review]

January 02, 2017 by Yung Miss in Music, Rap

                                  Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Foursix has a collection of dope voices that could do very well in the rap game right now if pushed right. I think with a little bit more emotion and rawness thye could really make a push in this industry. I could imagine a dope visual for this joint with demolition cars and clown mask. Make it happen! 3.5/5”

                                    Clifford Cartel - #RNS [Review]

January 02, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop, Music Videos

                                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“Something about the quality of this “#RNS” record is off to me, but besides that I like everything else about the track and the visual. Artist Clifford Cartel does a great job acting as a pissed off police officer using his power to harass citizens he comes across. His attitude reminds me of a young Kanye West. I like it and the beat has my adrenaline pumping! Two thumbs up! 4/5”

                                      BR/NDO - Been Through [Review]

January 02, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop, Music Videos, Rap

“BR/NDO’s “Been Through” visual starts with scenes of Tokyo and I was immediately intrigued because you do not get to see too much of Tokyo in the music videos of upcoming artist so definitely points for that. Once the instrumental started coming through softly, I noticed a sample of one of my favorite Travis Scott records “Backyard” and that made me excited to hear what was next to come. BR/NDO did not disappoint with his vocals when he started spitting on the beat while standing in the middle of a “lit” Tokyo street . I would love to hear and see more from this artist! 4/5”
