“Raw and powerful, this track brings gritty emotion in a hard definitive delivery. ”
“The words, You Gotta Love Yourself are repeated in this “Daily Affirmation” and that is for damn sure a message we all need at times, but what I love about this track is the surprising boldness of the music in conjunction with touching, yet wryly humorous lyrics.”
“Get’Em is a track that grabs you instantly, and when I say grab, I do not mean in a gentle embrace, but with a fistful of your shirt. As hip-hop should be, this one catches your attention and holds it as you listen to a delivery that both antagonizes and delights. ”
“The groove is evident from the first beat. The smooth vocals lured me in like a siren of the sea and held me throughout the trip this track took me down. ”
“I imagine this as the post break-up anthem of pissed off women the world over. The funny thing is as a man I couldn’t help but listen to this track over and over and with each listen I found myself grinning and digging the groove as well as the sultry vocals. The lyrics surprised me at times and I loved the no punches pulled vibe of this one. ”
“The best of music enlightens and heightens who we are by tapping into shared emotions. Ella does all of those things while allowing us a heartfelt walk in the shoes of another. This is music that speaks to the soul delivered in a powerfully gruff voice that gives you all the feels. And the video brings the lyrics into a gripping reality. The simply haunting guitar melody adds to the mix to give this song a haunting quality that sticks to your heart for a long time afterward. ”
“The vocals are alluring and intoxicating and the beat engaging. Full Stop is a track I did now want to stop.”
“The ironic thing about Empty Conversation is that it is a track full of surprises. I dig the smooth R&B backing and the vocals are catchy enough to keep me listening to every word. The Bridge comes in with a whole other vibe and the song just feels like life. No, you don;t know what to expect next, but you are grooving along so you are willing to find out. ”
“A nice groove and lyrics that entice from the first listen, but offer more with subsequent plays. The vocals are smooth and carry just enough longing and pain to make the emotion of the song stick with you. ”
“The Future is here! Okay that was a bad play on words but this song is infectious. The chorus and beat drew me in and the lyrics held me tight from the first listen and no matter how many times i play this track I feel that same hook. Good stuff going on here. ”
“This one feels like a summer hit. Infectious melody and a catchy chorus carry it through but the bridge keeps it interesting as well. Immediately feels like a song you’ve heard before in all the best ways, and its impossible not to sway to the beat and sing along.”
“This track makes me smile and groove. Nostalgic and smooth. The horns give it early life and the lyrics and melody unfurl is perfect harmony. Hard not to sing along by the second chorus. ”
“There is no denying a beat that can make you bob your head is a good one. Bennett A.K, a young rapper from Jakarta, Indonesia, does just this in his new song “Mirror Mary Boogeyman.” His pop culture references and heavy bass, catch on to the trap style popular in today’s rap scene. His infectious chorus (“Mary let me see you lamb, post it up on instagram..”) are bound to get stuck in your head and show up on your social media captions. ”
“Most folk music beckons listeners to reflect upon woes and take us to a somewhat melancholic, yet serene, state of mind. We might think of something we have lost or are trying to find meaning in––realtionships, friendships or even just not knowing where life is taking you. Vetle Forsell’s “Strange Clouds,” aims to take us to this place of introspection. Originally from Norway, Forsell is heavily influenced by bands like Pink Floyd and Sufjan Stevens. The gentle crooning and steady acoustics compel listeners to float around, as he talks to us about these everchanging “strange clouds.” However dreamy the song may be, Forsell is far from being aloof. His lyrics imply a person grappling with self-realization. Definitely worth a listen to those who revel in indie-folk and a good pondering of life.”
“Dark and sexy with a thumping bass. Psycho Killer rattles the brain pan in all the right ways. Easy to imagine this one as the score to an opening scene of modern day noir film”
“Strong vocals, sultry in all the right places and longing at times. ”
“Smart, solid lyrics, and the non chalant delivery fits the defiant prose. ”
“The commercial appeal is evident in the production and vocals, but for me the allure of this song is in the emotion of the lyrics. We’ve all stood at that precipice ready to close a line and this song made me feel that.”
“Juno Francis gets listeners up and ready to move to this upbeat track full of rhythm an electronic vibes. This Berlin-based duo takes us along with them through a journey into the night. With glittery eyes and chunky boots, you can live it up on the dancefloor with a song like this. With lyrics like” come and follow me into the night..” and “come on dance with me, show me electricity..” Francis entices us to join in to the fun. It is an undeniably catchy song with a mesmerizing effect. Reminiscent of an early Justice sound, we escape into a realm of cascading synths and echoing vocals. ”
“Nostalgic lyrics and haunting vocals blend perfectly with the power chord melody to make this track an indie rock treasure. ”
