#LAOnLockExclusive: Liddy Mechelle - Let Me Fix My Crown [Single]

LA Artist Liddy Mechelle is bringing energy and direct lyrics in her latest single “Let Me Fix My Crown”. Liddy lets it be known that she is very head strong, independent, and direct. She demands respect and wants someone to be true with their intentions instead of on some fxck shxt. Whether she is in an official relationship or not, she rather know her position so she will know what role to play. If anyone tries to step to her you are better off being honest and keeping it one hundred with her as she adjusts her crown to any “bs” that comes her way.

Ian J in Ya Mouth - Lipton Freestyle [Music Video Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Ian J in Ya Mouth drops this freestyle vibe and delivers it with a pure shit talking inspired flow full of bombs and witty observations. The track has a light hearted vibe, but still packs a punch when called for.

Sharp writing, timely delivery, and confident attitude are the earmarks of this track which is simply a fun listen. Like talking trash with your friends, this one simply feels like a good time.”

Rob Law x Yelohill - Keep Rising [Music Video Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Keep rising symbolizes and reflects on the struggles for artists coming up in the LA rap scene. Rob Law and Yelohill come from different hoods and different backgrounds, but the pain is the same. The sound of this song is like if Tupac and Nispey Hussle came together on a track. Uniting LA as one.

The track brings heart and genuine emotion which keep the listener leaning in and anticipating the next line. The two flows offer a different style but the juxtapostion of that is what makes the track pop. ”

“Let’s take a moment and have a session with Artist The Last MJ as he schools the ladies in his latest single “Dr.Feel.” He takes a moment to explain feelings and how to recognize whether or not someone is in to you or playing games like soccer. The delivery of the song is in a creative Tv talk show tone and segment.

When listening to this track I suggest you take notes and fellas be careful not to give out mix signals.”

K PRICE - TRUË RELIGION [Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Inspired by tequila, weed and a good melody, brand new track, “TRUË RELIGION,” is one to play when you need some good energy. K Price drops a steady flow with just enough production behind it to set it off and establish an easy groove to ride with.

The track offers a vibe that you can fall in and let carry you away from the everyday. No need to reinvent the process when you have talent and can drop in engaging writing and a dope beat. ”

Rgm Bugsy - Rgm the Mobb [Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Rgm Bugsy is a back and forth flow with an intriguing up and down rhythm and give and take vibe to the lyrical punches. The groove hooks, and the writing is sharp and lands thanks to a steady, but well-timed cadence. There is a good bit going on and it might take a few listens, but the track is interesting from the first go and only improves with familiarity.”

Dax - Dear Alcohol [Music Video Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Dax is no stranger to visitors here at LA on Lock, and as long as he keeps putting out passionate music we will continue to share this videos and be fans. ‘Dear Alcohol’ is a slower tempo track with less anger and a more reflective emotional nature than many of Dax’s hard hitting singles, but that is not to say this song does land with its own force.

We all need to stop and take time to reflect on where we are emotionally at times, and this track is about that and the realization we often use alcohol or other things to hide from what’s really plaguing our minds. ”

Mati - Back To The Basics [Music Video Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“I dig the vocal tone and the production especially since this is his first release on all platforms. In a relax neighborhood setting Mati tells the story of life and its experiences. Sometimes we make decisions that don’t always make sense. We have to realize its ok to go “Back To The Basics” in order to make it your way.”

Staircase Wit - My Heart Is Six Feet Under but My Head Is up in the Clouds [Review]

Rating: 5 out of 5

“I found myself truly rocking with this one. Staircase Wit is a pop punk song that musically tells a story. As you walk through the day and the emotions you find yourself rocking with the band. I found myself dancing as well as picturing a visual. “My Heart Is Six Feet Under But My Head Is Up In The Clouds” is about being in love but experiencing hurt as well.”

Big Boss Vette - Heavy [Music Video Review]

Rating: 5 out 5

“There’s nothing like a little motivation to get you started. Big boss Vette comes in real “Heavy” in her new track “Heavy”. I am not a rapper but I found myself acting like I was in the booth with her on this track. She is direct and serious but most importantly confident. She speaks on being at her lowest and having no one but herself, hahah. ”

Kade Fresco - Left Out [Music Video Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Kade Fresco drop this low key, yet meaningful flow and it hits with precision. Riding a lyrical build that most, if not all, of us can relate to, Fresco lets the melodic groove work alongside the lyrics to convey emotion and meaning.

The track is all about mood and perspective making it one to listen to over and over again so you can pick up on all the lyrical nuance.”

The writing is strong as well. and keeps you leaning in in anticipation of the next line.”

OG Bobby Billions - Holy Goat Live [Music Video Review]

Rating: 5 out of 5

“ I didn’t know what to expect with this one. However, OG Bobby Billions did deliver. With a soulful chorus and a Jazz melody he turns a rap song into a melody. The song Holy Goat Live is about going through ghetto emotions which are true emotions and hardships. He switches up right in the middle so you can feel the ghetto pain in your soul as if you was in church. This track is far from just another rap song it is true “Ghetto Gospel.”

As you drift in your own thoughts and elements you don’t give into the things that cause you pain.
