Produced by CallMeTheKid Hardy Caprio’s Rapper is the first instalment of ‘Hardy Season’, which will see the rising emcee document his life through 12 weeks of music, released episodically with a cliff-hanger teasing the next instalment.
Directed by WoWa (Yung Bane, Lady Leshurr), the music video for Rapperwas shot in Bromley.
The next in line to fly the flag for Croydon, (from where Stormzy, Section Boys and Krept & Konan also hail), Hardy Caprio has been earmarked by music critics as the 'next to blow' after gate-crashing and setting his own tone in the UK Grime, Rap and Garage scene.
The 21-year-old – who is a qualified accountant – first started making noise with his SBTV Warm-Up session, where he freestyled over Tinie Tempah's Wifey Riddim. The back-to-back release of Caprio's Hardy Season EP and his Hollywood EP in 2017 further cemented Hardy’s substantial fan base, ahead of single Unsigned (ft. One Acen)which is now certified silver, (after passing the 250,000 sales mark, racking up more than 30 million and being playlisted by BBC Radio 1 and receiving heavy rotation on Capital 1Xtra). Tracks Super Soaker and C’Mon followed prior to Hardy performing at Spotify UK's critically acclaimed inaugural live event, Who We Be Live at London’s Alexandra Palace.
