Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla - "Turkey Bag Flippa" [Video]

June 18, 2019 by N3 On The Track in Music, Music Videos, Rap

Craig Young aka Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One of the roughest and most dangerous cities for a black young teen. He became musically influenced at a very early age. His influences are people like T.I., Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Yo Gotti, also E-40.

He started recording by 16 and by 18 he had released his 1st project titled “Fortune Family” which instantly became a local classic in his city. Right after that he released another project titled “All I See is G’z” which landed him a national distribution deal early with Southwest Distribution Company out of Houston Texas in the early 2000’s. This is the same company which help distribute and build Cash Money Records, artist like Lil Flip, Slim Thug, Swisher House, Mike Jones, Paul Wall and many more. Under his old alias “Money I’z” he released his 3rd hood classic project called “Tears for Dollaz” which did great for such a short run before Southwest Distributions filed bankruptcy owing him for record sales.

This did not stop Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla drive. He stayed on the gas and took his grind back to the trunk selling over 20,000 cds of his release titled “Bac2datrunk”. Independently, this album included platinum recording artist B.G. formally of Cash Money Records. He also managed to lock in features with Eightball and M.J.G. & Young L.A. from Atlanta also. After this came serval more album releases like

 “Down 2the Shake“

“Me,Myself,& Money I’z”

“StreetMoney”

“I See Green Dead People” “4thCoastCompilation”

In 2018 Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla released “Milwauksterdam “ his 10th project. Where he teamed up with 4x Grammy nominated producer Soundz ,who has produced for platinum recording artists like Nicki Minaj, Rae Sremmurd, Justin Beiber, Rihanna,Usher, Beyoncé and many more. With a smooth and raspy voice over hard 808’s and groovey melodies, Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla tends to catch your attention instantly. His goal as an artist is to bring a completely entire new sound to the industry and to let everyone know that the Midwest has a certain sound & great talent. Starting his own label in 2016 called 4th Coast Music Group, Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla has plans on breaking the Midwest wide open.

Skizzy Mars - "No Advice" [Video]

June 04, 2019 by N3 On The Track in Music, Rap, Music Videos

Skizzy Mars returns today with the release of his newest single, “No Advice.” The track is also joined by a new companion visual, streaming now at Skizzy’s YouTube channel. Additionally, Skizzy announced his new studio album, Free Skizzy Mars will be released later this summer.

“No Advice” is Skizzy’s first solo material since his joint project with labelmate Prelow, I Can’t Take Me Anywhere; the 9-track collaborative project was released in November of 2018. I Can’t Take Me Anywhere follows Skizzy Mars’ last EP, “are you OK?” which includes hit singles, “2006” and “American Dream,” the latter of which was joined by a companion video that premiered on HypeBeast. “American Dream” was also featured on the soundtrack for Madden NFL 19.

NYC native, Skizzy Mars earned instant buzz with his first single, 2011’s “Douchebag,” and has since made his bones as one of contemporary rap’s most eclectic new stars. The Harlem-based MC – known to his family as Myles Mills – followed “Douchebag” with the powerful “Profound“ as well as a pair of much-talked-about mixtapes and increasingly popular live appearances as both headliner and support to such stars as G-Eazy, Logic, and Ty Dolla $ign.

Highlighted by chart-topping tracks like “Time (Ft. G-Eazy & Olivver the Kid),” “The Red Balloon Project” EP dropped in February 2015 and proved a straight-up sensation, debuting at #4 on Billboard’s “Top Rap Albums” chart before peaking at #35 on the overall SoundScan/Billboard 200. A 33-city headline tour followed, highlighted by sold out shows in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Skizzy’s own NYC.

Skizzy has also received a remarkable range of press coverage, with features in such outlets as The Fader, NYLON, Complex, i-D, Pigeons & Planes, and HypeBeast, as well as an appearance on the premiere installment of XXL’s “Ante Up” podcast.

Hardy Caprio - "Sponsored" [Video]

March 25, 2019 by N3 On The Track in Music, Rap, Music Videos

Produced by renowned London production duo iLL BLU (Ray Blk, The Weeknd), ‘Sponsored’ was premiered by DJ Target on 1Xtra last night and is the latest track to be taken from his highly anticipated debut album set for release this summer. The video was directed by Daps (Stormzy, Drake, Migos) and continues to tilt a hat at Hardy’s success. Shot in London’s infamous Bond Street the video also features an array of influencers including Bria Myles, Jena Frumes, Mettisse Campbell, Lela Simone, and Shantania Beckford.

‘Sponsored’ drops off the back of a stellar 2018 for Hardy Caprio. Most people would be absolutely delighted to either achieve a first-class degree in accountancy or to launch a thriving rap career. Incredibly Hardy Caprio did both at the same time. After gatecrashing the UK rap scene, the charismatic young south Londoner has been on a vertical rise making waves and scoring chart hits with summery r'n'b-rap like Unsigned and Best Life, (both feat. One Acen), and the harder-edged dancefloor swagger of Rapper. He has sold more than 1 million singles, sold out two national tours (many of which sold out within minutes of going on sale) and accomplished a gold and two silver records in one calendar year. His most recent single 'Best Life' was in the Top 40 for 12 weeks, becoming a mainstay on UK radio playlists and racking up 30 million audio streams and 16 million video streams.

Earmarked by The Guardian as an artist who’s “on the edge of breakthrough” and GRM Daily as “a rapper that is going to blow” and described by The Independent as “poised to break into the mainstream”, Hardy has delivered on the hype, cementing his reputation as an upcoming British MC to watch. With a rise to glory that is testament to an ever-evolving and expanding UK music scene, Hardy’s lyrics are as relatable as his success-story is inspirational.

Following the release of ‘Sponsored’, this year will see Hardy perform at a string of festivals and release his debut album.

ZION - "HER, HER & YOU" [Video]

March 04, 2019 by N3 On The Track in Music, Music Videos, Contemporary R&B

The 19-year-old British-Nigerian talent stepped out in the UK scene with recent tracks ‘Friendzone’, ‘The Point’ and‘Wahala’, which have collectively garnered over 2 million streams and 1 million video views.

Following their success, and lifted from forthcoming project of the same name, ‘Her, Her & You’ is produced by recent collaborator Fanatix (Giggs, Stylo G, Chip) and combines old school R&B vibes with Afrobeat influences and ZION’s signature smooth vocals.

Sure to cement his rise in the UK, the accompanying music video sees ZION turn on the charm as he sings to mesmerize the women in his life. Zion says; "I remember being in the mind-frame of wanting three women because they offered three very different things to me, its such a relatable topic I had to put it in a song. 'Her Her & You' is definitely one of my favourite records so far, it's the second track I have made with Fanatix and how everything came together was dope and phenomenal."

T-Pain - “Getcha Roll On” feat. Tory Lanez [Video]

February 07, 2019 by N3 On The Track in Music, Rap, Music Videos

Ask any music fan what T-Pain is most famous for, and they’ll tell you: imaginative, dazzling, mind-warping vocal effects. It was T-Pain who introduced voice processing into hip-hop, and even when his peers copied him, his relentless experimentation kept him in the front of the pack. But T-Pain is also a first-rate producer, beat-maker, and hip-hop concept-master, and if he wasn’t as talented a singer as he is, those effects wouldn’t sound as good as they do. “Getcha Roll On”, the latest single from 1UP, his seventh album, uses vocal processing sparingly. Instead, the song demonstrates what a forceful, exciting singer he can be, even when his voice isn’t ostentatiously enhanced.

Not that he’s got anything to prove. The Tallahassee rapper and singer has scored eight platinum tracks as a lead artist and many others as a featured performer on other artists’ songs. His best-known songs – “I’m ‘n Luv (Wit a Stripper)”, “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”, “Chopped ‘n’ Skrewed”, “5 O’Clock” – are bigger than pop or rap: they’re part of our national consciousness. Over his two-decade career, he’s worked with nearly all of the biggest names in hip-hop, including DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, and dozens of other artists hungry for the distinctive flavor that only a T-Pain vocal can provide. On “Getcha Roll On”, T-Pain pairs with one of the most exciting young voices in modern pop: Toronto R&B singer Tory Lanez, whose singles “Say It”, “Luv”, and “Talk To Me” heated up the Top 40 in 2018.

To shoot the clip for “Getcha Roll On”, T-Pain has turned to an experienced hand: Edgar Esteves. Esteves made videos for artists of many genres, including rock, country, and mainstream pop. But hip-hop is his specialty, and he’s recently demonstrated his mastery of the rap style and iconography in kinetic clips for Quavo, Lil Baby, and Kevin Gates. “Getcha Roll On” is a nighttime fantasia of screaming stunt cars, club lights, and beautiful bodies. T-Pain and Tory Lanez rap and sing in the parking lot as the automobiles screech circles around them. The star addresses the camera with utter confidence and swagger. And why wouldn’t he? After all, he’s T-Pain.

Lenny Harold - "More" [Video]

January 17, 2019 by N3 On The Track in Music, Music Videos, R&B

Taken from his recently released and critically acclaimed sophomore album Cosmic, which was released in September last year to rave reviews, Teddy Riley protégé, former Blackstreet member, and New Jersey R&B singer and songwriter LENNY HAROLD is excited to kickstart his 2019 with the release of his highly anticipated music video for fan-favourite Cosmic album track ‘MORE’, which has just been premiered by Soultracks.

Produced by three time Grammy Award nominee Armando ‘Mandobeats’ Colon, who has previously worked with the likes of Shaggy, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, Cam’ron and Fat Joe, with live bass and guitar arrangements from Ralph B. Stacy (Luther Vandross, SWV, Dru Hill), ‘More’ stands out as a timeless R&B slow jam, which is held together by Lenny Harold’s striking tenor and smooth vibrato, and honest and relatable songwriting about wanting more for and from a love interest.

The ‘More’ visuals see Lenny Harold collaborating with fast-rising cinematographer and photographer Richard ‘Parlay’ Copier of OneiPhotography, to create a storytelling masterpiece, which not only brings the ‘More’ record, which is already a timeless R&B offering all by itself, further to life, but tells its own story of a woman stuck between trying to leave a life of pain and abuse behind, and the fear of leaping into the unknown with someone new.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the ‘More’ video, Lenny Harold says, “we wanted to create a visual that could tell several stories, with the main focus on our leading lady having to make a decision that’s often vital to the heart for all of us. You’re not sure if she did, if she wants to, or if she’s just thinking about it, and ultimately, we don’t know. We wanted the video to have the ability to connect with everyone regardless of the scenario, and I hope it does just that”.

Counting the likes of Quincy Jones, Marsha Ambrosius and Jamie Fox as fans, and with three critically acclaimed R&B projects already under his belt, before he released last year’s well received Cosmic album, Lenny Harold is coming into 2019 as one of the best pure R&B talents out of America today. The rest of the year will see the New Jersey native embark on a short run ‘Cosmic’ tour across the US, along with the release of more visuals from the album, starting with ‘Heat’ in February.

Coline Creuzot - "Dead End" [Video]

December 28, 2018 by N3 On The Track in Music, R&B, Music Videos

Coline Creuzot debuted the video for her soulful single, “Dead End”. Written by Coline and Troy “R8dio” Johnson (Solange, Chris Brown) the Motown inspired song finds Coline crooning against a Los Angeles skyline.

“Dead End was inspired by relationships, the failure of them and how hard it is to feel complete again once it’s on a one-way road,” says Coline. “This song talks about the disappointment and the heartbreak of realizing in that moment, forever doesn’t always last. You have to learn how to move forward.”

Young TY - "No Love" [Video]

December 28, 2018 by N3 On The Track in Music, Music Videos, Rap

West LDN’s Young TY is no stranger to the scene after gaining underground notoriety from last year’s Westwood Crib Session and infamous Black Boxfreestyles, which racked up 100k views within an hour of being aired. The 17 year old has been making some big moves behind the scenes, so much so that he has recently landed a record deal with Charlie Sloth’s record label ‘Grimey Limey Records’.

GRM Daily The Shortlist: http://grmdaily.com/the-shortlist-introducing-young-ty

GET RATED FINALIST #1: YOUNG TY FREESTYLE http://grmdaily.com/video/get-rated-youngty-freestyle

His debut single ‘No Love’ is the first off his debut EP (chalked for release in spring ’19) and is produced by the hotly tipped producer Hazard, whose credits include Mist and Krept & Konan. The radio friendly track mixes things up with an Afro-Swing beat, Young TY’s drill delivery and even some singing hooks in the chorus. All this is based around the classic TLC ‘No Scrubs’ guitar lick replayed and sampled in the studio. Explaining why he chose this song to sample and release first, Young Ty explains:

"Growing up as a kid my mum used to play a lot of classic RnB tracks which where my early influences, so with my first single I wanted to bring something different to the scene. I love the Afro-Swing scene but I wanted to do a track that could appeal to everyone young and old. A lot of MC's are rapping about money, designer clothes and girls - so I thought why not have my own spin on the way girls used to diss but now they love me because they see how hard I'm grinding”
