“I just released a new music video entitled: Yes I Will. It’s a funny (I think) stream of thought style song with a beat that brings the funk! Lyrically braggadocious AND self-deprecating. It touches on some of my frustrations in music, and life in general. Most of all I wanted to make a song/video that made people laugh (with me or at me, either way is good if ya ask me). If you like artists like Atmosphere, Mac Lethal, Murs, DOOM, you might like this too. ”

In promotion of the Detroit duo’s anticipated debut LP, RSXGLD, rapper Ro Spit and producer 14KT deliver the cinematic new video for the project’s debut leak, “I Believe.”
The first half of the visuals, which were directed by Perry Grone, focus on a seemingly distraught Ro who has made his way back home following a robbery alongside KT. As the emcee delivers his rhymes and examines his body, he remembers leaving his RSXGLD partner lying face down in the street.
If it sounds like “I Believe” has the makings of a mini-crime epic, then you’ll be even more pleased to see the twist once the colors flicker into the perspective. Ro may not be as upset as he seemed, moving from a downtrodden appearance to delivering crazy-sharp wordplay as he flaunts gold fronts. What this means for the duo may be uncovered in their next clip—or you can just kick back and enjoy the track for what it is, a straight-up slapper.
Check out the visuals, and head over to the retailer of your choice to pre-order RSXGLD, which drops on Nov 03. The 12 track LP boasts features from Royce da 5’9”, Denaun Porter, Elzhi, JMSN, Ronnie McNeir and more, and will be available in all formats (CD, vinyl, and stream/download), via Fat Beats Records.

Produced by the very talented Maschine Man Tim, More Love gives us a combination of classic boom bap alongside strategically eery keys and additional vocals from soulful singer Purp. Lyrically the chorus was originally written to give a voice to anyone who may feel forgotten, ignored or oppressed. It is far from a political song, however L uses the concept of the hook to put his own twist on it through his verses by detailing his own struggles with society and personal demons.
'Whoring my thoughts out from my inner self/
Every post like a kiss and tell/
A penny for my thoughts is all im wishing for, wish me well/
They couldnt shop for what i got in store, not for sale'
The visual, filmed by Sean 'Maverick' Wilson and Ian Upton, really brings the personal elements of the song to life. The Sin City styled theme of the video really works well with the smart attire and the simple but detailed shots.
GQ Nothin Pretty’s new video for “In The House” is a high-energy, bravado-fueled romp through NYC, featuring underground stalwarts Ruste Juxx and King Magnetic, who drop bars with reckless abandon over Trilian’s neck snapping production.
The video’s directed by Tim Foster for We L!IVE TV , with additional support provided by Pachino for Naked Eye Filmz, with cover art and media promo by Adam Tummons for AT Media . And to say their vision perfectly captures the vibe of the track would be a massive understatement. With slick cuts courtesy of DJ TMB, bits of clever animation, and sharp editing, the “In The House” video feels like the perfect marriage of old-school tenacity with new-school technology.
The visuals are also a strong reminder that you shouldn’t be sleeping on GQ Nothin Pretty. The PA by way of BX emcee dropped his impressive Animation album earlier this year, which in addition to Ruste Juxx and King Magnetic, includes features from the likes of Nutso, Blacastan, Ras Kass, and Tragedy Khadafi, among others. If you’re looking for that raw, Animation’s got you covered. But you already knew that if you were breakin’ your neck while watching “In The House.”
Check out the visuals, and then head over to the digital retailer of your choice to stream or download GQ’s 15 track LP, Animation, out now via Nothin Pretty Productions.

Gaining a rep for delivering a biting flow over hip hop beats, Coventry rapper Mugun uses Lauryn Hill’s classic The Sweetest Thing instrumental to showcase his versatility with his latest offering. The late night visuals by Lukas. Co depict him embracing the night, with weed in hand, him and a few friends catch a vibe while the smooth acoustic-style beat sets the mood. ‘The Sweetest Ting’ is the title track from his up-coming ‘The Sweetest Ting EP’ which is chalked in for release in late Summer. The song acts as an ode to teenage love and angst on the block. Mugun explains:
“The Sweetest Ting is kind of like a diary if you get me... An expression of all the excessive paranoid thoughts you get whilst trying to push your teenage love affair to the next level but also at same time trying to survive through all the incidents and mistakes it takes to be a man in our day and age"
2016 was a breakthrough year for the young emcee, and after winning ‘Best Urban Act’ at the Unsigned Music Awards, receiving a Rated Awards ‘Get Rated’ nomination and having a track on SonyAtv/Reprezent’s sync project ‘Grime N Reason’, Mugun has been cited as one to watch this year by industry figures.
Spending much of 2017 in the studio refining new material, Mugun is now ready to drop a set of singles which will make up a full EP in late spring/early summer. In the pipes are more visuals, freestyles and singles including the track ‘Run Dem’, produced by Nyge (New Gen). Keep an eye out for more big announcements and moves...

With their well received collaborative LP Molotov now available, the East Coast/Midwest tag-team of Saga and Thelonious Martin head to the rapper’s stomping grounds of Brooklyn for album’s debut video, “Where We Live (Brooklyn).”
Directed by Surf School’s Infamous Oz, the visuals put the heart of the BK on full display as the rapper-producer video hit up some of their favorite spots. That includes getting a lil’ grimy with the local cats at the legendary Gleason’s Gym and, of course, diggin’ in the crates at Black Gold Records.
Watching these two hit up Brooklyn landmarks together and just kick it, further proves their chemistry, which is on full display throughout the LP. Of course, anyone can hear that chemistry on “Where We Live (Brooklyn),” which boasts Saga doing what he does best (rap with a purpose) over Martin’s ill flip of Ethel Beatty’s classic, “It’s Your Love.”
Molotov , which boasts features from Freddie Gibbs, Fashawn, and Rapper Big Pooh among others, is now available for stream and download through all major digital retailers via Saga 718/EMPIRE. The record is also available on wax, in a limited edition smoke vinyl configuration, through Coalmine Records.
For those in Canada, you can catch Saga opening for Freddie Gibbs tonight through Friday as part of Gibb’s You Only Live 2wice tour—refer to the dates below:

Just months after the release of the infamously, dark and thrilling "Tupac Murder Confession". The self-deified shaman, Cambatta returns with "God Lived (Devil Dog)," a hard hitting lyrical barrage over Superstaar Beats production to get fans ready for his next full length project. Lyricism over trap beats is a rare occurence in today's melody and dance-driven Hip Hop landscape but Cambatta once again shows why he stands out amongst his peers. Witty punchlines, double entendres and deep knowledge backed by 808s will make your head spin. The new Project LSD will be available this summer.

Armed with gripping lyricism and his own jazzy production, DMV artist Sheik Kargbo reveals the vivid new visuals for “Trapped (Buck Feeva).” It’s a stirring look into his hometown of Alexandria, VA, while providing another example of why he’s about to make some major noise this year.
The video’s directed by Aye Waiter, who was beyond the lens on Kargbo’s preceding video/single, “New Neighbors.” And just as that effort was instantly captivating, the same goes for “Trapped” and its portrayal of street life in the Virginia city. The simple touches of color here and there make every scene pop, while serving as visual accents to what’s already a compelling narrative.
And that narrative, as Kargbo repeats on the hook, is about being “Trapped in the trap” and everything that entails. With his pen as his weapon, he takes aim at snitches, task forces, and anyone else trying to stir the pot in his city, while also showcasing his impressive chops as a producer. Just listen to that smooth beat-switch during the third verse, and just try not to run it back.
Check out the visuals, and then head over to iTunes where the track is available for download as the second instant-grat track off The Speakeasy Experience, which is also available for pre-order through Amazon and Google Play . The 20 track self-produced LP is set to drop May 12th, via Kargbo’s own Renaissance Republic imprint.
