Twoface Artiste - Windy City Freestyle

September 14, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

Currently based in Chicago, @ TwofaceArtiste is a driven, passionate and charismatic artist with a unique approach to his blend of hip-hop. Using cryptic aphorisms Twoface creates idiosyncratic sounds along with an abstract style of writing. His experimental sounds blend in pop appeal and rap flow; not unlike the work of artists such as Jay Z, Nas, Emeline Michel,The Fugees or Stevie Wonder, just to mention a few. Born in New York, but raised in Haiti, Twoface Artiste is all about connecting with listeners through high-energy release, uplifting melodies, and a thought-provoking lyrical flow. Twoface’s dual cultural heritage is one of his many sources of inspiration. Twoface’s music utilizes a synergy of appropriation, poetry, storytelling; which marries text and imagery. Twoface deals with "personal dichotomies," which creates this duality in his lyrics thus the name “Twoface”. He is currently working on his mixtape, which is basically a pre-album and a great sample of what's in store for the future!

Miss Eaves - Hump Day

September 14, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

Shanthony Exum (aka Miss Eaves) is a fierce femcee known for her unique electro-pop-rap feminist stylings and fun-dance-explosion stage presence. From nights karaoking in bars to performing in sold-out festivals, Miss Eaves, realized performing was like a drug she couldn’t quit and she fiended for it. With her tongue-in-cheek rhymes in tow, her music has led her to perform at shows such as Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld and Dour and Les Rockomotive. Most recently, touring with Wheatus and MC Frontalot around the UK.

Her new single, “Hump Day,” is a playfully sassy take on the subject of female masturbation. Despite the bevy of suggestive images, this isn’t some overly sexualized, artificial attempt to create some variant of soft porn. In an interview with Refinery29, Miss Eaves says the idea was to film “a bunch of different women with different body types and ethnicities showing their orgasm face...and not in a pornographic way, but in a very realistic way."

Using a diverse group of ladies on camera willing to do the deed, the video places each one in front of a bright solid background. Each one is shown going from 0-60, so to speak, starting in a reserved manner but ultimately finding their zone. Like a collection of beautiful snowflakes, no two orgasms are the same. More importantly, this video shows that there is no wrong way to get it done.

Brian Breach - "Breakfast" (feat. Chris Rivers)

September 14, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

If you can learn one thing from Florida rapper Brian Breach’s cinematic new video for “Breakfast,” it’s that you should never, ever be disrespectful to folks in the service industry. You never know who’s paying attention, or what they might to do you if you decide to act like an asshat.

The track itself, which stems from Breach’s new Matter of Fact album, is a pure and raw display of technical prowess. The rapper and his guest, NYC spitter Chris Rivers, rip apart the Makemdef instrumental with crazy internal rhymes and wordplay. Both of those qualities made their way into Breach’s track-closing verse, which boasts rhymes that may have served as the inspiration for the Gusto Gold Productions video: “Me and Rivers will breach anybody that come/ This ain’t a hobby, we’ll body anybody for fun.”

Now, that’s not to say the two didn’t have a reason to assault the guy in this video—again, dude was disrespectful to the waitstaff—but he also probably didn’t know what he was getting into. Gusto Gold Productions run with the concept of Breach and Rivers being lyrical (and literal) bruisers, and it falls in line with equally fresh visuals they’ve done for Meyhem Lauren and Mr. MFN eXquire.

Check out the visuals for “Breakfast,” and then head over to iTunes to show your support for Matter of Fact, which is now available through all major digital retailer and streaming platforms, via GTPS.

Ricko - "Work Ethic" (feat. Guilty Simpson)

September 07, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

When you’re hustling, constantly creating art, and working painstakingly to get your music heard, you also need to find time to enjoy the little things. And that’s just what London’s Ricko does in his fresh new video for “Work Ethic,” featuring Detroit bruiser, Guilty Simpson.

Armed with a laid-back flow and knack for storytelling bars, Ricko takes the listener through a lyrical and visual portrayal of how he spends his downtime. For the Londoner, that means a trip to the barber shop for some touch ups (very important) and rolling blunts with his guest. Speaking of, Guilty looks just as fresh as his host here, rocking a fly Detroit-repping bucket hat and spitting a slick verse about staying motivated.

For these two like-minded artists, pushing their art to the masses is what keeps them going—and from avoiding other pursuits and bullsh*t from 5-0. It’s all set to a perfectly smooth, jazz-sampling instrumental produced by Dave Mars, that sets the tone for these equally relaxed visuals. “Work Ethic” stems from Ricko’s forthcoming debut LP, The Slick Rick LP, which follows up the emcee’s series of mixtapes and loosies (namely his Slick Sundays project).

Peep the visuals, and be sure to pre-order Ricko’s debut, The Slick Rick LP, via iTunes, which is set to drop on September 29th through all major streaming platforms and digital retailers, via CRMG Records.

MOGZ - Diamond$ (Music Video)

September 07, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

MOGZ is a Bangladeshi/American artist, record producer & director from the Rampart District, Los Angeles. He’s has been providing a stunning look at the true art within Los Angeles’s urban streets through his artistic abilities since the age of 12, fusing his unique background & culture into his music coming of age in both Bangladesh and Los Angeles.

The video was directed by MOGZ & Produced by As if, Barry & Naif, 3 young producers from Los Angeles. The video was shot in lafayette park in the heart of the rampart district & was also shot in downtown LA. I shot the video spontaneously, We recorded the song the night before, the next day I grabbed a couple of my friends & shot the whole video, the next day after that I edited the whole thing & it was complete. I take pride in being control of my vision, from producing a record to directing the visuals for it. I think it’s one of the reasons I can really be successful.

I really wanted to describe what was happening in my life at the time. I have been working really hard, So the song “DIAMONDS” is just me describing how a Diamond is created through time. Metaphorically speaking through me “Grinding” which I repeat on the hook means working hard, the song is designed for the listener to be inspired to go out & get what they are striving for.

Nefew - Brand New Summer (Music Video)

September 02, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

Hey guys, what's up! I hope your week’s goin’ smooth. I got a real sharp video that I’m pleased to share with you today from the American-Swiss Hip-Hop duo, Nefew, who recently dropped their EP, Slides towards the end of June.

The video’s for their song “Brand New Summer,” which is a last hurrah for summer ’16 as we cling onto the final days of August—here’s the YouTube link to check it out: https://youtu.be/C70iN77eRxE

The group is one of the more acclaimed Swiss-based Hip-Hop groups, and have built a strong following throughout much of Europe (click here to read their Wiki page for more details ). And the audio for the track's been performing really well too via SoundCloud, with over 31k spins to date .

As always, grateful for your consideration on this one, and I look forward to your feedback! I hope you guys like the track/video, talk soon! -Matt

American-Swiss Hip-Hop duo Nefew continue to bring the good vibes and embrace the warm weather with their slick new video for “Brand New Summer,” the jazzy and upbeat single from their recently released EP, Slides.

It may be true that the season may be on its way out here in the States, but that doesn’t mean we and Nefew can’t enjoy one last hurrah. And for one half of the duo, Polemikk, that includes doing exactly what he wants because, hey, it’s a “Brand New Summer.” That includes chilling with the girl of his dreams, stunting with his boys in the streets, and just enjoying the sunny weather while it lasts.

The self directed visuals are both colorful and high-energy, and seamlessly match the track. It’s really the foolproof complement to Nefew’s music as a whole, because the duo has become well-known over the last ten or so years for their soulful, optimistic take on innovative Hip-Hop. And if this happens to be your first time experiencing their music, you’ll certainly be searching for more once the visuals fade. “Brand New Summer” is truly a final shot of Hip-Hop sunshine as we wait for fall to creep in.

Check out the visuals for “Brand New Summer” and go support their latest project, the Slides EP, which is now available via On Our Feet Ent. through iTunes and all major digital retailers and streaming platforms.

Rei - The Chief's Speech (Reverse Video)

August 29, 2016 by N3 On The Track in Music Videos

New Zealand Hip Hop artist Rei is excited to bring to you his new single and accompanying music video, The Chief’s Speech. Rei’s 2nd NZ on Air funded single takes aim at ‘they’. ‘They is anyone who doubts you, who looks down on you for standing up and trying to make something of yourself. This song is all about having that chief mentality to overcome that kind of negativity.’ The fire and passion within this song is portrayed through the haka sample (also written by Rei) that plays throughout. This earth-trembling chant mixed with hard-hitting Hip Hop production and Rei’s melodic, confrontational vocals creates something never before heard in Hip Hop. The music video, shot entirely in reverse was a challenging project in which Rei had to learn all of his lyrics back to front. ‘It was like learning Russian’ says Rei. The Chief’s Speech is the second single from Rei’s debut studio album A Place To Stand due for release November 2016.
