Nick Sharma - Oxytocin

Oxytocin is a blend of the old and new; where 808 drums harmonise with old-school strings that have been compressed to synths. The lyrical content is about the ups and downs of relationships, and the video is an abstract symbol of it.

Born and raised in Norway, Nick Sharma has worked with some of the most well-known artists within the Norwegian borders; such as the youtube sensation Anders Nilsen (with millions of views with the hit Salsa-Tequila), Norwegian Idol judge Sandeep Singh, World known battler; Nils m/skils, Skeez Tv Battler Andre Jensen and many more.

Nick Sharma's relationship with music started in 2007, in the post Nas - "Hip-Hop is Dead" era. The album triggered the artist's curiosity for the genre, and thus, through further inspection (via Nas' Untitled album), the artist developed as a rapper. Fast forward to 2016 and Nick Sharma has developed his own style, blending spiritual spoken-word syncope rap (think: Rapsody), with a fusion of jazz and neo-soul.

The song is an introspective outlet of Sharma's inner world. The topics range on everything from challenges concerning introversion in an extrovert music industry, to defining himself, and ultimately God, when he says "If every single form or image; redefine a flock of bitches, to God".

n a nutshell, Daydream is a an artist finding himself and expressing his new-found identity through his music, and celebrates the authenticity of this new-found true-to-self-identity.

BIO

With his spiritually inclined demeanor, Nick Sharma gained somewhat of a buzz at the onset of his recording career when he released his debut album Beautiful Space (2015). The album, showcases his versatality as an artist, combining densely packed, conscious lyrics, with a wide variety of genres, including Hip-Hop, neo-soul, jazz and even EDM. Features from Norwegian famous guest appearances by the likes of Anders Nilsen (Salsa Tequila), Sandeep Singh (Idol), Abu (Tabu with Abu), Nils m/skils (from the worldwide battle scene), Andreas Kjøll (Comet Kid) and Andrè Jensen (Skeez Tv), helped establish Sharma's presence in the Oslo's underground music-scene.
