Jack Kane - Come To Terms [Review]

January 21, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Jack Kane expresses vulnerability in his slow and tender delivery of ‘Come to Terms.’ The emotion is tangible in every line and the build carries the listener forward as we feel every word. We’ve all had to come to terms with some bit of grief be it from a loss of life or loss of relationship. Emerging on the other side of dark times is a process, but this is the kind of song that can ease the pain and let us know we are not alone.”

Marian Hill (featuring GASHI) - little bit [Music Video Review]

January 19, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Commercial

    Rating: 4 out of 5

“Running into an ex is always a bit awkward, and this track from Marian Hill explores that set of emotions. The arrangement is intriguing and not at all predictable. I did crave more tempo a few times, but this was a track that kept me leaning in for the duration and I felt the emotion of the writing come through in the performances.

A unique build that somehow brings out the uncomfortable sensation of running into that person that once meant everything to you.”

Vezza - Won't Apologize (feat. Carly Moffa) [Review]

January 14, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Commercial, Music

      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Vezza teams up with American Idol alum Carly Moffa on this track about sacrificing your comfort in pursuit of chasing your dreams. With a bold commercial sound, ‘Won’t Apologize’ is almost an open letter to those you left back in your hometown to explain why you left and why its not a bad thing even though it does come with a certain level of uncertainty and anxiety. ”

        Steerner - Rush [Review]

January 03, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial, EDM

        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Offering an intriguing build, ‘Rush’ from Steerner is a track that sweeps you up and in. Much like the rush of any addiction, it is hard to turn away from and that is exactly what the lyrics here are about. Be it drugs, love, or simply the thrill of a the beat on the dance floor this track is about chasing that vibe and feeling. A clean production and talented delivery brings it all home.”

Lyric Noel - Look Alive [Music Video Review]

December 16, 2021 by Kreadiv Kesh in Commercial, Music Videos

          Rating: 4 out of 5

“The strong clapping in the first few seconds will have you clapping and stomping along. Lyric Noel is vocally strong and determined to get her point across in “Look Alive”. The track is about rebirthing yourself and being more powerful than what tried to tear you down. The guitar strings motivate her vocally and assists with her take over in getting what is hers. ”

            Rating: 4 out of 5

“Denmark’s Gustaf has the kind of voice that feels like a conversation with a longtime friend. Beyond that talent, this track also has a nice easy groove and light airy tone tot he musical arrangement making it easy to fall in and connect with. both lyrically and musically.

This is a nice track that belongs on your playlists for those times you just wanna relax and feel a nice tranquil build. ”

              MIXIE - Run Away [Review]

December 01, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Pop, Electro Pop, Commercial

              Rating: 4 out of 5

“Already having made her mark as a model, digital artist, and fashion designer, MIXIE is celebrating her artistic journey into music with her debut single, ‘Run Away.’

LGBTQI+ to the bone and current Manhattanite, MIXIE is a renaissance girl for the 21st century. Riding pure Pop tones and Commercial vibe musically, this track is right at home with current hits. The energy and lyrical flow hooks in and doesn’t let go. ”

Hayk Keys - Party Of One [Review]

November 24, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial

                Rating: 4 out of 5

“An accomplished songwriter, Hayk Keys is now writing hits for himself and ‘Party Of One.’ might be the first time you are hearing Keys, but I have a solid hunch it won’t be the last.

The track delivers an engaging energy and lyrical honesty that resonate and keeps the listener invested in the overall build. A fun Commercial sound that gets in and does the job without a bunch of unnecessary production tricks or gimmicks. ”

Arlo Boe - 80's Movie [Review]

November 24, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, Commercial

                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“For a lot of people the 80s were the height of Pop music and this tack from Arlo Boe pays homage to the glorious synth sounds of that era. There is a Flashdance and Footloose feel to this track and it certainly would be right at home alongside those soundtracks but there is still a contemporary edge that lifts this one above being merely a tribute to musical glories of decades past. ”

Anja Kotar - Fun For You [Music Video Review]

November 23, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Commercial

                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“To steal a few words from from Game Of Thrones ... the dating world is dark and full of dangers.

Okay, so the original line was the night is dark and full of terrors, but we all know most dating is done at night and no matter the time it is certainly fraught with trouble. Anja Kotar knows this and sings about the odd struggle in a fun and expressive way on ‘Fun For You.’ Both the song and video are pure Pop energy that entertains all the way through.”

Ryan Riback - (Just Can't) Hate U (feat. Dotter) [Review]

                      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Australian producer, Ryan Riback pushes all the right buttons in giving us this single. ‘(Just Can’t) Hate U’ features the vocals talent of Dotter and the pairing of talent brings the song out to its fullest.

We’ve all had that person we should hate, but just can’t seem to find that particular emotion so we turn to them far more times that we should. This song is about such a dilemma and the odd mix of feelings that comes with it.”

                        Michelle Ray - Tattoo [Review]

“Michelle Ray leaves her mark, just as a ‘Tattoo’ does but Ray does it with a powerful voice and the emotive delivery not many artists are capable of. Big and bold this single has the same vibe you get from Pink, or Adele or other truly expressive vocalists.

Don’t sleep on this single, because Michelle Ray is a clear star in the making, and this is your chance to buy in early and help spread the word. ”

The build is engaging and the progression soft and vulnerable while also also fiercely determined in its tone. The mood of the track perfectly matches the tone of the writing and the build sweeps the listener along with little effort. ”

                                  Kayla DiVenere - PSYCHOPATH [Review]

November 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Commercial

                                  Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“This is masterfully constructed track. LA’s Kayla DiVenere utilizes not only her vocal talent to instill a mood, but the arrangement plays a huge role in conveying the emotion and feeling behind the well-written lyrics.

Coming with a Commercial Pop Punk sound ‘PSYCHOPATH’ delivers an up and down tempo that matches the impact of the writing and keeps the listener guessing what will come next as they lean in and lose the world around them.”

“We have all been burned by our ‘Feelings,’ and this track is a soft slow building track that makes us feel that rising tide of emotion once again.

The vocals are vulnerable and invite you in and the production gets out of the way while still instilling an added layer to to the mood of this smooth track. This is one to add to your playlist you go to when your heart is heavy and the world feels like it has the upper hand.”

Harper Starling - Cannot Tell A Lie [Review]

November 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, Commercial

                                      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Look out Pop World, Harper Starling is storming onto the scene with talented pipes and attitude aplenty.

’Cannot Tell A Lie’ is the kind of track that rallies the women fed up with men’s shit, and that makes it a power anthem of sorts, but as a man myself I too can appreciate the talent and energy behind both the performance and the writing.

A fun track that has a life all its own!”

Jaci Butler - Straight to the Bank [Review]

November 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, Commercial

                                        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Jaci Butler comes straight at you with a flow that is more Punk Pop than Hip-Hop. The track grabs and holds you through the entre progression.

Get ready to party with this single that takes you ‘Straight to the Bank.’ I was reminded of Gwen Stefani for sure, but Butler brings enough verve and energy of her own to make this track stand out as more than a single inspired by the works of others. This is a fun party vibe and one that works quite well.”
