“Dezabel comes in smooth but allows anyone listening to be engaged. ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait No More’ is Electro Pop meets RnB. He speaks on how he is becoming impatient with anticipation. I like how a female’s vocals was introduced after the two mark to give a strong feeling of emotion. ”
“This is as honest and emotionally bare as music gets. Zach Hood drops a deeply personal Indie Pop song about the emotional effect on a child when one parent simply walks out of their life. Divorce is rough on all involved, and the imagery of the home videos here doubles down on the emotion of the track.”
“Like the rest of the world, Nicholas Hamilton is ready for a ‘Different Year,’ after surviving this past three-hundred, sixty-five.
In this low key Pop song, Hamilton reflects on the things we missed or lost in 2020, but the track carries hope and a touch of defiance as we all gear up to charge bravely forward into 2021.”
“Devora says of the single — ‘This song commemorates the ups and downs of life, while celebrating the moments that we have today, if only for today. It’s a salute to going your own way in life and carving your own lane undaunted—observing one’s uniqueness, honoring yourself and embracing the crazy ride along the way. This song is a salute to outlaws everywhere.’
Travis says of the single, This is a kick ass supercharged track that pumps through your veins from start to finish.”
“The Candid offers up the pain of having your heart removed. ‘Amputation’ is not a word widely used as a synonym for hear break but having your soul ripped out by a bad breakup is no less panful than losing a limb while you are are enduring the emotional pain so it works well here in this raw, Indie Rock delivery. ”
“Lola Lennox drops this energetic track on us that feels a bit like a Holiday song in spirit even though the lyrics are not specific to any time of the year. The vocals reminded me of a mix of Amy Winehouse and Adele though this single certainly feels more Pop oriented than those artists tend to sound.
All in all, a fun track that gathers you in and carries your forward with a smile on your face.”
“The holidays are coming soon and given the stress of this past year the season will no doubt bring out increased emotional pain for some folks. This is not a new phenomenon, but could be more acute this year.
Dylan Dunlap gives us a melancholic track about this very thing and despite being a sad song, sometimes listening to such is exactly what we need so that we can understand we are not alone. ‘Another Holiday’ is a track that won’t necessarily uplift but can make you feel understood. Addressing the feelings of sadness is important as well so embrace your sadness if you need to and speak out f need be as the season descends upon us. Dylan Dunlap delivers a genuine emotional track that is relatable for so many of us. ”
“Ella Collier offers a darker and more sinister spin of the fairytale with her version of ‘Cinderella.’
Coming with a Trap beat and Pop style vocals, Collier unfurls her take on the timeless tale with an alluring seduction that feels part Circus Ringmaster and part sexy siren as she lures you to lean in and listen to every last word.”
“Rock and Roll Soul Funk. That’s the vibe Quinn DeVeaux brings in this track, which fans of Nathanial Rateliff and Leon Bridges are certain to enjoy.
’All I Need’ captures that all-encompassing euphoria of finding that person that makes the entire world feel world. Simply put, with them at your side you don’t need anything else to feel joyous and right.”
“A track of unrest and insecurity, ‘Reckless’ is the kind of song that seems to reach inside our minds and put to words the very thoughts permeating in our brains.
The build and vocal delivery is spot on with the lyrical build. Danny Wright pulls you in and holds you there from start to finish with this rising crescendo on this single. ”
“A motivational Rock Anthem that belongs on your workout, or simply your — get out of bed and kick ass, playlist.
Saint Chaos delivers a a touch of Imagine Dragons to the sound, though ‘Walk’ offers its own unique edge for sure. The energy and determination shine through on the track and I dare you to listen without feeling a jolt of adrenaline come your way.”
“The slow and melancholic build here is mesmerizing. Enok Amrani write this song over a two year period as his way to make a statement about drug addiction and the emotional toll. Released for World Overdose Awareness Day, the track is meant to be a reminder to those struggling that they do not have to make the walk alone.”
“Coming straight at you with an infectious brand of energy, Veridia demands your attention with their latest single, ‘Light It Up.’ Sometimes the best thing I can do is get out of the way and provide a link to the tracka nd a quote from the artists, so here you go ...
’Our new single, “Light it Up” is about being inspired by those brave enough to speak up and take action against injustice and advocating for human rights with love and grace. This song isn’t condoning violence or literal arson, it’s about our internal, metaphorical fires of compassion and strength that spark real change. It was inspired by the resilient people in my personal life and those who strive and hope every day for a more unified tomorrow... .’ ~ Deena Jakoub”
“A pure Rock anthem for anyone that has ever had trouble playing it cool.
Nothing but a Nightmare delivers an energetic true rock sound, and their latest single ‘Problems Being Cool’ defies the traditional cliches of the genre, to bring forth a track with both heart and grit. ”
“True to their name, Confetti comes at you with a party song. ‘People Suck’ might not be a conventional party song, but then there hasn’t been a damn thing conventional about 2020, so perhaps this is the party song we all need right now.
This track is easy to belt out and song along with, and despite the revelry in style, it comes with some serious observations and thoughts.
Cue this up as a barroom anthem for the day we can all gather together and drink once again.”
“Watching a friend fall and slip into a bad place is tough, but so is reaching out and helping them by speaking the truth. In those instances the friend can resent you and the help you are offering. Neon Dream offers a Pop Rock refrain of this phenomenon. ‘Don’t Go Haring Me Now’ is full of heart and hope and human kindness but also comes with emotion and talent and energy.”
“LACES once performed to success under the name Charlotte Sometimes, but a series of life events and personal decisions have led to her burying that name, both literally and figuratively.
In more ways than one, ‘worship’ represents a rebirth, and in the dark moodiness of a stellar vocal performance, lurks an emotion and depth that breaths life into this track, as well as the new direction of LACES renewed career.”
“Pop Punk with a splash of Celtic Rock sound thrown in, Fluorescents latest single, “Not Another Pop-Punk Song’ is perhaps poking a little fun at themselves with that title because of course this track is another Pop-Punk song. However, it is a fun energetic one that stands out because of the talent and wryly sharp writing. The musical shifts keep you on your toes and the vocals make it easy to sing along. ”
“Emili comes at you with a vibe sweet innocence vocally, but the emotions of the songwriting delivers an edge and grit.
’Autopilot’ is about rut, routine, and expectations. The desire to shake things up rather than than toe the line and do exactly what everyone is expecting and demanding of you.”
“Maro has the kind of vocal talent that mesmerizes and pulls you in right from the beginning. The lyrics of ‘Carsick’ come with a tranquil intensity that adds to that attachment. This softly delivered track does not shatter the norms in anyway, but still feels unique and different by establishing a steady groove that carries you along with ease.”
