This song resonates with me because I wrote it at a time when I felt that everyone that I once respected let me down. Although I learned a lot of valuable things from various mentors and peers, I soon began to piece together that they often weren’t living by the same standards that they were holding me too. So I took that frustration and channeled it into this record as message to them. I hope that whoever listens to this, can either relate or use this song as a way to convey the same sentiment to whoever they feel is living up to the code.
