“This is one of those tracks that just grabs you and it is hard to say why. There are some shiny lines that truly are ‘Going For The Gold,’ and the vocal flow is somewhat ordinary until the chorus anyway, but I was on the hook just the same.
I suppose my intrigue here came from the fact that it felt true and I believed the emotion behind the flow.”
“KARLI’s vocals perfectly capture the Pop sound, and the lyrics of ‘Running For My Life’ do a great job of showcasing her ability to emote and parlay emotion, into a variety of vocal sounds.”
“I have fast become a big fan of The Criticals. There is a nostalgic quality to both their sound and songwriting, or rather I should say — classical sound, because there is nothing dated about their music.
The melody hooked me here before the lyrics quickly establishing another single to the band’s impressive EP Mimosa Hygiene, which is not out in its entirety.”
“The monotone vibe to this track worked well with the lyrics. And the vocal shift a couple minutes in brought in a soulful groove that kept me on the hook.
Well-written and engaging, ‘Lately iii’ pulled me in and held me there. ”
“CHARLOTTE is blessed with one of those voices that could see the words on a box of cereal and make them sound beautiful and emotional. That said ‘All My Life is a well-written song, which adds to the wow factor here.
Get on board early with this talented artist.”
“Rhythmic and beat driven, like a chain gang melody, this track is arresting to the ears in the best possible way.
Full of rock attitude and talent, Jake Isaac has a winner with ‘Wasting My Love.’”
“Brooke Sierra is a talented vocalist and that element shines brightest on ‘Voices,’ though the songwriting is also very strong as well.
A nice, smooth commercial groove goes along with the Electro Pop vibe musically, creating a mainstream single as vibrant as any out there.”
“Ghostwriter LA drops this melancholy tracks that does indeed ring ‘True.’
Life away from home and a support system is a challenge for anyone, and when you add in the tough vibe of making it in a difficult pursuit, like the music business, this song captures that hopeless feeling of chasing a dream.
But where there is a dream — there is always a hope. ”
“A slow easy groove full of heartbreak.
’Number 1’ is about the times when the one you desire, does not choose you.
Giving off a classic 70s, almost Elton style, melody this old school rock song hits home for anyone that has come in second place when being first is all that truly matters. Fans in LA can catch courtship. December 9th at The Echo.”
“A well -written song that delivers genuine emotion, and a solid drop to bring it all home. A single that speaks to us all. ”
“Jackson Sutherland has a songwriting gift and his latest Electro Pop single, ‘Myself’ showcases not only that talent, but his vocal strength as well.
The line ... I gotta stop hating myself ... could fall into a despair-filled track that only adds to the melancholy we all feel at times, but Sutherland steered the track away from that and instead gives us a song of honest emotion that brings a self-awareness and sense of belonging rather than isolation.
This is a track you can indeed roll down your windows and sing along to even if you are going through tough times. ”
“Sultry and forbidden, Yonee drops a smooth flow detailing the ‘Bad’ things he wants to do with the one he desires. Lyrically this one sets a mood and transports you to a emotional place and time.”
“Born in LA rush hour traffic, ‘Hiatus’ is an high energy pop single about that moment in a relationship where it is either time to break free and breath on your own, or double down and commit.
The track is lively with a dance energy and infectious vocals.
For those near LA the single release show will be November 8th at 10 pm at Hotel Cafe.”
“Heartfelt and emotional, the little touch of vulnerability in Connolly’s voice, showcases the emotion behind the lyrics. This track feels like coffee house folk, with a splash of Americana.”
“This track is quiet, and yet the power of the vocals rings loud with power. The emotion is enhanced by both the simple piano melody, and common sense lyrics written with an uncommon talent. ”
“Soft melancholy never sounded so good.
This song carries the vibe of the internal voice whispering inside your head not to call that person at 3 AM. That person you know you shouldn’t be alone with.
Dreamy and sleepy, but full of emotional danger, ‘I Can’t Be Alone With You’ is a triumph for singer/songwriter Brooklyn Doran. ”
“Riding a crest of smooth confidence, The Wavy Kid drops ‘Get Away’ which feels cool and comforting.
This track isn’t exactly breaking new ground, but it covers all the basis for an upbeat and entertaining listen. ”
“If I am honest ... I nearly dismissed this track early on. The initial sound did not hook me, but the longer I listened, that old school 90s synth vibe snaked its way into my soul, and the retro girl band vocals soon caught my ear.
I was a reluctant fan for sure, but there is something to be said for a track that can surprise you and turn your head and I came away a fan despite that initial reaction.”
“An instrumental that stirs emotions completely on its own. The beat is solid hip-hop up and the various overlays each add depth and dimension making this a moody tracks that speaks loudly.”
