Nick de la Hoyde - Ghost [Music Video Review]
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
“Smooth and alluring with a commercial beat, ‘Ghost’ is the type of song that means more to you with each listen. The video adds to the mysterious allure.”

“There is a hint of Freddy Mercury in the vocal tone, and a splash of Elton in the melody structure. Along with those influences are threads of classic Punk. The fusion is entertaining and engaging, just as rock and roll should be.”
“This single is sang soft and tender, which stands in contrast to the hard-edged sarcasm of the lyrics. ‘thnk u’ rolls out like a pop version of a church hymnal, and it does so with a deliverance and declaration that oh-so-many will relate to.
The track is a smooth fuck you to all those we cross paths with — that leave us worse off for the experience.”
“A racing mind tends to make leaps from one fear to another until it finds that one inescapable paranoia. ‘Paranoid’ captures that sensation and the construct of the song has that same kind of feel.
My first listen through I was slightly uncomfortable, yet hooked and that is how I knew this song had captured it’s emotional intent.”
“ BB Girl is surely a song that will have you running back to play it again. ”

“ This take me back to the Britney Spears early Taylor Swift days with a twist of Gwen Stefani. Overshadowed with Pink Evie is a talented artist wants to define her own path. ”
“ Like this song. The vocalists vocals cut through the track and flow.”
“ Like how the artist gets straight to the lyrics as soon as the song comes on. He has a Sam Smith type vibe but more upbeat.”
“JuJu spits “Real Shit” that most people can feel.”
“ In a world full of autotune it’s good to hear a good flow and lyrics. Dope song. Dope vibe.”

“Dope sound. Has a real party vibe. Smooth vocal tone.”
Bristol four-piece Salute The Sun return with the almighty 'All To You'. Their first single in three years, the track is a groovy sun-soaked number, dripping in soulful melodies and vibrato synths. Just as the days start getting shorter and the weather turns colder, ‘All To You’ is a song defiant against the changing seasons. Singer and songwriter Rob Aros's soulful vocals are paired with bubbling basslines and warped synth patterns, giving the track a luminescent, discotheque vibe. “This track was an unexpected delight for us as a band. We’d been tinkering with the demo for over a year, and having just moved in to a house together we finally decided to just get it finished" guitarist Matt Townsend explains. "Rob knuckled down: creating an exhilarating chorus hook, tightening up the production and adding some funky guitar licks to help drive the verse. Suddenly we realised we had a banger on our hands. This was the most excited that writing a song had made us since the very first track we wrote together! We’ve been waiting for the right time to release this song and that time is now.” Formed in 2014, Rob, Matt, bassist Toby Williams and drummer Sam Williams met on their first day at the University of Bristol and bonded over their shared love for an array of genre-defying artists. Best known for their energetic live shows, Salute The Sun have an incredible talent for producing punchy anthems over flowing with heart and soul. Receiving early support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Salute The Sun draw on the soulful grooves of Toro y Moi and funk tones of Earth, Wind & Fire to form their own musical trajectory.
“ I love that she isn’t on the regular hot girl/city girl wave. Dope”
“I like the song. Not to complex and has a good flow to it.”
“Loyalty is a tough thing to find in this world. This single honors loyalty, by dropping a steady beat and sing-song flow that serves as an anthem of trust and confidence. Both hard-earned by surviving tough times with, and because, of those you proudly stand alongside.”
“Kensington Moore is redefining the definition of addict with this smooth pop groove. A nice hypnotic melody and tone delivers this single that will have you singing along after only a few verses.”
“In a world where much music is produced and created at a computer as often as not, you sometimes crave an old school band to actually play for you. The Crooked Kings play music.
True Rock and Roll isn’t dead so don’t let your playlists get lost in the land of ‘Smoke & Mirrors” music production and instead give this old world approach a listen. ”
