Dylan Dunlap - Right [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Singer/Songwriter

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Dylan Dunlap delivers his single, ‘Right,’ with emotional precision and a delicate, yet deliberate build that highlights his vocal range and talent. Diving in on his own vulnerability and longing, Dunlap gives us a song we can all relate to as we struggle to find solid ground after a rough breakup.

A beautiful track that makes sense of what can be a disorienting experience. ”

    Dot. - Indigo [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Singer/Songwriter, Adult Contemporary, Alternative, Pop, Indie Pop

    Rating: 4 out of 5

“Dot. has the kind of vocal tone that simply invites the listener in. Soft and tranquil and rich in tone much like Norah Jones, Dot. takes us an a smooth easy vocal journey through being proud and happy with your work and not succumbing to the outside pressure of bending your art to the needs and wants of others. ”

Five Fingers Of Funk - My Mom's Prius [Music Video Review]

March 08, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Hip-Hop, Conscious

      Ratong: 3.5 out of 5

“Sometimes you just have to smile and this track certainly delivers that. The timing and delivery of the flow highlight legit skills and yet the combination of vocal tone and comical lyrics reminded me a bit of old school Adam Sandler. I rarely connect to songs intended to be comedic, but the funky musical edge and wry wit worked for me on this track and the video adds to the tongue in cheek vibe. ”

Sitting On Stacy - I'm Not Dead Anymore [Music Review]

March 07, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Ska, Punk, Pop

        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Lyrically brilliant, ‘I’m Not Dead Anymore’ comes out blazing with a truly a unique vibe. The band, formerly known as Paper, changed their name to Sitting On Stacy to better stand out given an internet search of Paper turns up far more than info on the band.

This three piece Southern California Ska band has carved a name for themselves regionally and is poised to climb even higher with strong writing and the talent to performs it all live.”

The Vaxxines - Drink Beer and Destroy [Music Review]

March 07, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Punk

          Rating: 4 out of 5

“Saint Patrick’s day is coming, so we all need a good drinking anthem to help us let loose and celebrate.

The Vaxxines have just what the doctor orders with their energetic track, ‘Drink Beer and Destroy.’ No it’s not Celtic Rock per say, though I can imagine holding a glass high and belting this out with other patrons in an Irish pub any day of the year.”

Codefendants - Def Cons [Music Review]

March 07, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Punk, Hip-Hop, Alternative

            Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Utilizing a variety of tempos and deliveries, the Codefendants capture magic with ‘Def Cons.’ A blend of Punk, Ska, Hip-Hop, and Skater Punk makes up the overall arrangement. Each set of vocals delivers a different tone, and yet they all mesh and sync to create one wondrous piece of music. Lyrically, the track has just as much to offer, and I’ll definitely be adding this one to several playlists and listening to it for years to come.”

                Grand Am -The Turnaround [Review]

March 05, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

                Rating: 4 out of 5

“The arrangement of this songs instrumentation takes me back to when music had real musical arrangements. The rawness of the instrumentation makes you feel as if the group is right in front of you performing the song. The vocals are light but stand strong over the production. The lead has the type of smooth vocal delivery that keeps the ear yearning for more.”

Steven Araico - Ivory Keys [Review]

March 05, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

                  Rating: 5 out of 5

“I was immediately taken in by the vocals of this artist. If Boy Georgia meshed with Sam Smith these are the vocal tones I would imagine. The production is very chill and allows the artist the room to freely ride the beat and act as its own instrument. This track invokes emotions naturally simply by the playful back and forth from natural to falsetto by the lead vocalist. This music could be a soundtrack piece for any romance movie in today’s world. Overall great arrangement.”

March 05, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

                      Review: 4 out of 5

“The picking of the guitar chords in the intro are the perfect set up for the angelic vocals of this artist. The way she easily switches from high to low notes is almost enchanting. It’s a feel good tune with just enough bounce to keep you dancing. The production allows for the artist vocals and lyrics to be the star of the show while providing the perfect background cover to give the song its flow. ”

“No one ever reaches the top of the mountain without struggling to get there. Rohan uses a smooth and easy delivery on this flow about fighting through the pain to reach to the place you want to be in life.

The track utilizes a Rap flow, but also has the groove of a slow and soulful R&B track giving the vibe an added dimension and accessibility to the emotional thread of the lyrical build.”

The nature raspiness of his vocal timbre adds its own rawness to the track. The trap bass mixed with the smoothness of the piano chords makes this a track to definitely ride to and vibe to on any occasion. ”

The production is just simple enough to let the artist dance all over it without clashing or being overbearing. A true lyricist in rare form. The transition into the melodic hook is both unexpected and appreciated because the extra element of emotion is brings to the song . ”

Parris LaVon - WEAK [Music Review]

March 05, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rap, R&B, Alternative

                              Rating: 4 out of 5

“Parris LaVon shares a bit of vulnerability on this flow, but despite the title of the track he clearly is anything but ‘Weak.’

We all have our problems and roadblocks but persevering and coming out the other side is what defines who and what we are. The beat and rhythm here are smooth and the lyrical flow lands its emotional punches with a raw earnest vibe that feels genuine. A track to listen to over and over again to appreciate the various nuances.

Be sure and check out the entire new album, WINTER IV which just dropped this week. ”

“Pure Trap attitude sets the track off, and the bounce isn’t just an accessory here, but a full-out active part of the vibe.

Big Boss Vette unleashes her chorus in conjunction with the talents of Coi Leray to create a remix that hits with force. Lyrical wit and a strong overall verve amps the mood on a track that is one-hundred percent brass.”

                                  The Lil Hazy - T00 F@ST [Review]

March 05, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

“The Lil Hazy gives hints of Lil Uzi but still with his own original swag. Really like the production. Mixes rock with trap bass. For 18, he has a very polished sound.”

“Something very pure and vibrant about this artist vocals and the delivery of them. Feel good love song with just enough bass to make it a party tune. Very catchy and relatable hook. The way she transitioned from full vocals to singy song bars shows pure musicality.”

“I love how the artist vocals act like more of an instrument existing within the track and not necessarily just sitting on top of the beat. The production is very futuristic, though it seems to clash with the vocals at time with all the synth elements of the track. Could definitely pop this song on in the car and ride to it.”

“The smooth chords and vocals that open the song immediately grab your attention. The chorus is simple but catchy in a lullaby type of way. Really enjoy how the song builds continuously as it goes along which pulls me a listener in more and more.”
