SCRUB and ACE HA - Sunny Lane [Music Video Review]
Rating: 4 out of 5
“Not all is sunny on ‘Sunny Lane,’ but this single definitely sheds light on the dark side of suburbia. Riding a steady beat, the truth flows steady and direct.”

“Straightforward lyrics with a guitar-charged melody. The overall sound falls somewhere between Americana and Rock and Roll, but genre isn’t really important when the music is this good.
’Strangers’ is the kind of tune that you find yourself signing along with the chorus by the second time through.”
“Who hasn’t wanted to undo their mistakes?
Not a single damn person on this planet. That’s who.
Fletcher has captured regret perfectly in ‘Undrunk,’ an ode to wanting to undo a string of bad decisions. The vocals are real and true and honest, and the melody perfect for closing your eyes and singing along as you think back to the last time you made such mistakes.”
“Amy Loftus takes us on a dreamy trip down the coast with her smooth vocals and twangy vibrations. With a perfect balance between acoustic and electric guitars, Loftus provides intimate lyrics with a bit of a rock edge.
There is no doubt that a song like this is perfect for a driving around with your hair billowing in the breeze, without a care in the world. ”
“A catchy, feel good tune that gets you moving while proclaiming the fell good vibes of unconditional love.
’Anything For You’ is the kind of commercial pop tune that catches fire and crosses genres to pull music listeners in far and wide.”
“Fiery passion and a old world beat stokes the melody of ‘House on Fire.’
Sultry sexy vocals and the rhythm of Spanish guitar lends this single an exotic mix that is quite intoxicating.”
“The contrast to this single is stark.
With a pure pop sound, bordering on bubblegum at times, the tone matches the lyrics in a wry, intentional way that speak of meticulous planning and production.
The good girl, from the good family, living on the good block ... yearning to do something, ANYTHING that makes her feel alive rings true here and this single has merit beyond that oh-so-sweet coverings, because it has something real to say. ”
“The vocals grabbed me from the very first verse, and start to finish I was hooked. A nice mysterious melody adds to the flavor and a catchy chorus lends this track a timeless feel. The only thing I am ‘Curious’ about is what will the talented Little Dume deliver next? ”
“This smooth, commercial tune could stand on its own merit, but beyond it so-called ‘entertainment legs,’ this track comes with a story of hope and dreams.
All proceeds from ‘Ready To Start’ will go toward assisting the Make-A-Wish foundation fulfill dreams of kids all over the world. Knowing this adds poignancy to the lyrics and takes a nice pop tune and turns it into an emotionally charged ode to the innocent fighters battling their way back. But not even that fact is the best part of this story.
In celebration of World Wish Day, April 29, Los Angeles-via-Australia electronic music producer Wish I Was (aka tyDi) has teamed up with 18-year-old wish kid Kara Kuper on the beautiful and inspiring “Ready To Start.” It was Kara’s wish to record a song. Being a big fan of Make-A-Wish, Wish I Was was happy to make Kara’s wish come true. Wish I Was secured time at Universal Music’s recording studio and enlisted the help of professional songwriters. In February 2019, Kara flew in from Chagrin Falls, Ohio to start work on the song. The completed song was chosen as the soundtrack for the new Make-A-Wish PSA as part of the 2019 World Wish Day campaign. World Wish Day will be celebrated throughout the month of April, kicking off with the launch of the PSA featuring “Ready To Start” on April 3.
World Wish Day helps bring attention to the significant role a wish plays in a child’s medical treatment. Research shows that a wish can help kids build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness– an eye-opening finding in light of the fact that Make-A-Wish is currently only able to reach one out of every two potentially eligible children in the U.S.
The PSA, created by TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles, stars Make-A-Wish kids and alumni whose wishes to be an astronaut, dinosaur, mermaid, football player, cowgirl and firefighter served as a catalyst for hope and healing. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/D3gkXY1dhCo
Wishes are an important part of a child’s medical treatment. They can give kids the strength to fight, to get better. ”
“Ryan has the Michael Jackson energy with a twist of Ricky Martin. Both artists vocals are a little high pitched, but it doesn’t take away from the romantic love vibe that the song gives. ”
“With a decidedly British sound from the first beat ‘The Carousel’ feels like it belongs on the soundtrack to a James Bond movie.
Intriguing and alluring vocals add a mysterious element to this cat and mouse game between a would-be couple.
Production is top notch and just when you think you are settled in for a smooth ride the track surprises in delightful ways.”
“I felt every word.
I believed every word.
Sweet mournful vocals accompany this well-written song of longing. The piano and strings are the perfect accompaniment to this voice.
Fleeting describes much of life and Peridot has captured it oh so well with this release.”
