Nick Sanza - Breadcrumbs [Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Bedroom, Commercial

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Nick Sanza delivers the passion of a singer/songwriter laying his emotions out bare. There are comparisons to be made to Ed Sheeran in writing style, but ‘Breadcrumbs’ feels a bit more Commercial with a Electronic vibe to the overall production and sound.

The track follows a regretful lover reflecting on the past as he is reminded of what was and what could have been by the everyday things around him.”

Viktor Harter - Jerome ft. lunajoep [Review]

August 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Hip-Hop, Conscious

    Rating: 4 out of 5

“We’ve all known a ‘Jerome,’ though the name might be different — the mindset they bring with them isn’t. The groove here on this track is funky and the beat urges you to nod and move along. This single offers a good balance between old school and new vibes.

This is one of those tracks that simply worms its way into your ears and sticks for a long long time.”

Trey Triple A. x TheyCallHimAP - Paradise [Music Video Review]

August 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rap, Autotune

      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Trey Triple A. and TheyCallHimAP proves ‘Paradise’ can be found anyplace we happen to be, and that the ideal is more of a mindset than a true destination.

The build and groove here comes with a smooth yet sharp edge, and the flow hooked me from the start. The lyrical flow hooked me in and I stayed there basking in the creation of Triple A’s paradise. A smooth summer vibe that will carry through even when the days are no longer sunny.”

        Elsewhere! - Overrated [Review]

August 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Pop, Rock

        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
        — Quote Source
“Elsewhere! has dropped the new single, “Overrated,’ which is an ironic title, because the song and talent are anything — but over rated.

Coming with a pure Indie Pop sound, the track has a bit of Bieber vibe vocally, and comes with a nice groove behind it that conjures comparisons to The 1975. This is an easy build to fall in and join if you feel like belting out the words along with the performance.”

          Gillian Heidi - flowers [Review]

August 04, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Singer/Songwriter, Adult Contemporary

          Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“There are a lot of breakup songs out there, and many of them are angry or jaded, and often both. This track is a bit different, as it is more of a retrospective and simply chronicles the slow unraveling of realizing the person you are with isn’t the one, even though there isn’t anything wring with them or yourself. Just a simple understanding that there is something more out there than this person can give you.

Gillian Heidi conveys all of this with stellar writing and a perfect performance.”

Scholars Ent. x Nolan the Ninja - WORK (Freestyle) [Review]

August 04, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rap, Hip-Hop

            Rating: 4 out of 5

“Most of the time I need a track to shine right out the gate to find my connection. ‘WORK’ was a bit slower building for me, so while I remianed optimistic early on, it wasn’t until the :45 second mark or so that the passion of this flow truly hooked me in.

Once you digest the lyrics, this build makes perfect sense, but this one did take a bit for me to find my connection. Give it a listen and no doubt it will do the same for you. ”

Hot Mondy - Pale Ember [Music Video Review]

August 04, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Americana, Music, Indie Rock, Country

              Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“The best music is always timeless, and very often beyond easy genre classification. That is the case with Hot Monday’s single, ‘Pale Ember.’ There are Indie Rock elements, and Americana elements which combine to give the track a Springsteen sort of threadbare vibe as well as an emotional brand of regret that permeates the delivery and makes it all feel so real. The writing is emotionally stirring and the performance conveys the feelings in every line. ”

Yung Jewelz - Price 2 Pay [Review]

August 02, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rap, Trap, Hip-Hop

                Rating: 4 out of 5

“Once the flow drops in — this track is a solid banger. The intro is intriguing as well, but it is her flow that truly brings the this one to life.

Full of attitude, and that Southern Rap vibe that is often attempted, but rarely landed this single simply pops. Hard bars and a thumping cadence allow the punches to land with force. Don’t sleep on this one — this is a talented artist with plenty to say. ”

                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“Every line of this track drips with emotion. The greatest fear of every parent is a health battle for their children, and while this song is directly about that event, there are things to digest here about humanity and the emotions we face even if if you have never stood in those shoes.

This song is sad and yet hopeful at the same time because of this father’s passionate flow. This truly is a track to fell deep down in your gut.”

“Freddie Long is ‘Addicted To Your Love.’ Maybe not you specifically, but he’s addicted to someone’s love and he’s belting out this up-tempo Pop track for both them and you and because the track is entertaining and easy to fall in and sing along with that is a very good thing.

Revel in both his love and talent, by adding this track to you summer, or energetic playlists to feel the vibes.”

With the ballet dancers guiding her throughout her new single “Save Me” is about sticking around over the years because you never know when someone may need you. ”

Surrounded by things that are either good or bad for you she sings about how her sins are what makes her happy. From a dramatic beat to a slow motion toward the two mark this is a track that will have you engaged in fantasy. ”

“A mirror is your reflection but does it truly show who you really are. Justin Clancy’s new single “Noose” is about the dark struggles we have. Not sure what direction he is going in, Justin battles with death and not knowing how long he will want to stay in this thing called life. The visual is a focus on death but it truly is the imagery of where some people’s mind is. ”

“Grace Otto is a burgeoning Pop queen. The talent, confidence, and star factor emit in every line she delivers on this breakout track.

’You’re The Worst’ is a big Pop track that feels like Katy Perry, Pink, and Miley Cyrus meshed into one, brand new bad-ass goddess ready to take on the musical world. This is one of those track you just have to hit play to fall in and become immersed in the jaded anger and righteous payback. ”

Woodward brings some retro vibes with this contemporary Indie Rock track, but they do so without making the single feel dated in anyway.

’What I’m In Need Of’ is a hard-charged single that conjures forth bands like Foreigner, Van Halen, and Motley Crue, however, Woodward has their own modern spin and brand of sound. No fan of true rock and roll will be disappointed by this one.”

“The tradition of ‘California Dreaming’ is a long one for many musicians and artists, and this track from Beat The System adds to that collection. A fun and light Pop track, this single takes you for a daydreaming ride about sunny skies and glitzy times in the Golden State. The track simply feels like a stroll in the warm sunshine so come along to enjoy the West Coast vibes.”

WYATT - hurt u this much [Review]

July 23, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Pop, Commercial

                                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“WYATT drops this brutally honest track. Sometimes a persona does not have bad intentions, but simply is prone to succumbing to bad decisions and it is their weaknesses that lead them to hurt those they love. ‘hurt u this much’ is an ode to such poor decision making and the impact it has on others. The track comes with a decided Pop vibe and is easy to fall in and and connect.”

A Very Special Episode - Cowboy [Review]

July 23, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Punk, Alternative, Rock

                                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“The sound of A Very Special Episode can best be summed up as ... a pissed off Fleetwood Mac. ‘Cowboy’ is a track that comes in hard and throws the punches for the duration.

In the band’s words ... ‘Cowboy’ tries to embody the swagger of every man who’s ever decided it was his job to swoop in to save someone who didn’t ask for or need it. Sometimes it’s toxic, other times it’s pathetic, and we went and made a bop about it.’

The edge is razor sharp, and the build keeps you ready to swing on the next idiot to get in your way. This is the spirit of Rock and Roll personified.”

Steven Ryan - Burns Like Fire [Review]

“With a good bit of passionate gravel in his tone, Steven Ryan belts out ‘Burns Like Fire.’ The track has a retro rock vibe at times, but when he slips into that higher register the single delivers more of a contemporary vibe. Overall the sound is a good mix of new and old.

The writing break down the over the top passion of new love when emotion burns hot and the slow burn of being apart from the one you love singes the soul until you can quench it by once again falling in each others arms. ”
