Jack Kane - Come To Terms [Review]

January 21, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Jack Kane expresses vulnerability in his slow and tender delivery of ‘Come to Terms.’ The emotion is tangible in every line and the build carries the listener forward as we feel every word. We’ve all had to come to terms with some bit of grief be it from a loss of life or loss of relationship. Emerging on the other side of dark times is a process, but this is the kind of song that can ease the pain and let us know we are not alone.”

    AZSH - Mood [Review]

January 20, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop

    Rating: 4 out of 5

    “Pure energy and ‘Mood!’

AZSH delivers an Electro Pop track infused with a bit of South Beach flair and panache. A big infectious beat, and a nice lyrical hook bring this single to life and you’ll be hard pressed not to sing along and move to this groove. Add this high-energy track to that playlist you go to when you need a jolt to motivate yourself to get up and going.”

sheyda - Wish I Could Want You [Music Video Review]

January 19, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Contemporary R&B, Electro Pop, Adult Contemporary

      Rating: 4 out of 5

“We’ve all spotted that person that captivates us with their looks, only to be disappointed once that person opens their mouth. ‘Wish I Could Want You’ takes a lap around that emotional pool, but does so with powerful vocals and a wry set of lyrics that makes this track not only a smooth groove, but a stunning bit of sarcasm that lands all of its lyrical punches.

The video will have you ready to hit the lake. Can’t wait to hear more music from this talented artist. ”

Thomas Iannucci x Foggieraw - Back Home [Review]

January 14, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Hip-Hop, Conscious

        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Riding a nostalgic, jazzy hip hop vibe, this track by a Hawaiian Grammy winner, and a rapper from the DMV by way of Ghana, is about the neighborhoods they grew up in ‘Back Home.’

The flows are laidback but passionate and genuine and the lyrics feel a bit like a freestyle with genuine emotion backing it all. ”

Wild Giants - If God Only Knew [Review]

January 14, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative

          Rating: 4 out of 5

“The gravel in the vocals provides instant emotional connection, and while the track does have a slight retro feel of the mid 90s to early 200s sound it does so more as a homage than a reliance. That gives the track a fresh contemporary feel on top of that familiarity. The emotional resonance carries the day and a down tempo shift at the end of the song really brought it all home for me. ”

            RIVER - Someday [Review]

January 14, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Alternative
“Nostalgia and melancholy ride tandem in this track from Hamburg’s RIVER. ‘Someday’ is the kind of track that can mean different things to you from day to day depending on your own mood and headspace, but no matter what you take away the easy groove and clever writing will engage you and pull you deep inside the rhythm of this Indie Rock effort. ”

Vezza - Won't Apologize (feat. Carly Moffa) [Review]

January 14, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Commercial, Music

              Rating: 4 out of 5

“Vezza teams up with American Idol alum Carly Moffa on this track about sacrificing your comfort in pursuit of chasing your dreams. With a bold commercial sound, ‘Won’t Apologize’ is almost an open letter to those you left back in your hometown to explain why you left and why its not a bad thing even though it does come with a certain level of uncertainty and anxiety. ”

ZUSO - Melt Like Gold [Review]

January 14, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, House, EDM

                Rating: 4 out of 5

“ZUSO captures a bit of magic with the track, ‘Melt Like Gold.’ The track has an ethereal dreamlike vibe, but instead of leaving you in a trance of disassociation the song calms and mesmerizes in a way that relaxes and keeps you engaged at the same time.

At just over 5 minutes the song is long, but still I found myself wanting more. A mood setting track to reset your mind and body.”

                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“JuneJune’s “Thangzzz” has a nostalgic sound to it. It brings back the classic date night where the night is full of fun and vibes. The single focuses on night vibes and wanting to have fun with the one you are with. Listening to what your date wants to do and vibing with one another.”

                    Bshortt - Daydreamin’ Freestyle [Review]

                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“A freestyle type track with a nice arrangement behind it, giving the song that extra edge to truly stand out. Bshortt delivers a flow that emotes the passion behind the lyrics and the Jazz infused backing adds an extra verve putting ‘Daydreamin’’ into that next level of tracks for me. The writing is strong as well. and keeps you leaning in in anticipation of the next line.”

My_Kayla dedicates her new single to him and relates her life to being open and free but overall living it to the fullest. The beat is suspenseful but fill of energy.”

Hunter Moreau takes that habit and turns it into an engaging Bedroom Pop track. ‘Sleepyhead’ has enough energy and verve to make the track come alive, yet enough emotional vulnerability to hook and hold and get us all to thinking about our own mental habits. ”

The track hits us with an easy groove and build and this infectious rhythm and delivery lends the single an easy to stay on vibe. That construction instills a strong instant connection, but that is not to say the lyrical flow is not intricate and evolved in a way that keeps the song intriguing long past the first listen.”

The KTNA - B.S (feat. J Warner) [Review]

December 29, 2021 by Kreadiv Kesh in Singer/Songwriter, Music, Neo-Soul

“The KTNA delivers what is classified as a B.S ballad. The delivery is poetic and gives a neo soul vibe but in reality no one no longer wants to deal with anyone’s B.S. You emotionally feel the song as a peaceful anthem of meditation to get the courage to say f*ck it all.”

Dropper - Memoirs of Working in a Bowling Alley [Review]

December 17, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock

                                  Rating: 5 out of 5

“Some songs have a life, or at least aura about them that takes on its own personality and demeanor. ‘Memoirs Of A Working Bowling Alley’ certainly had that for me. The track from Dropper reminded me a bit of Sheryl Crow’s ‘All I Wanna Do’ in its wry perspective of a world full of people plugging along in their own way. The sound is a bit grittier here (in a good way) and perhaps more honest in its approach, but both tracks have true heart to them.

Frontwoman Andrea Scanniello shared her thoughts about the track. ‘We recorded “Memoirs of Working in a Bowling Alley” and the rest of our debut album with Andrija Tokic at the Bomb Shelter studio in Nashville. I’ve spent my entire adult life working in various service industry jobs- some more soul sucking than others. One of these jobs was spraying bowling shoes at the local lanes. “Memoirs” is about working these types of jobs and how at times it makes you question humanity and never want to speak to a soul ever again; that emotional drain that can only be experienced when you’re dealing with shitty drunk people night after night.””

Samantha Aurelio - Christmas in LA [Review]

“The seasons go by so fast but we always look forward to the holidays. Holidays in LA are different and Samantha Aurelio describes that in a nice melancholy letter title “Christmas in LA”. It may not snow but home is where the heart is which makes the holiday wonderful.”

THE FUR x Julia Ross - Americana [Review]

December 13, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, House, EDM

“This collaborative effort has a light airiness that swept me up and into yhe build. The vocal talent and clean production behind it are both top notch, making this is a track that simply pulled me in with its jaunty energy and infectious build.

A single that is easy to connect to and stay with making it feel uplifting and light in all the best ways. ”
