“Slander is joined by William Beck on this track of tender vulnerability. ‘Back To U’ is a song about putting yourself out there even though doing so leaves you susceptible to heartbreak. The track is a reminder than the onlyw ay to truly live is to leave yourself exposed to the potential for pain. The writing is perfect and the performance emotions the vulnerability in a tangible way that makes you feel every note of this one.”
“Łaszewo and AVELLO join forces to give us all a delightful ‘headrush.’ The track has a nice Future Bass build and the strong writing and emotive vocals add depth that mean this is a song you can move to or simply listen and reflect on the songwriting and performance. ”
“Yeshi puts an atmospheric stamp on the new year with her single, ‘Starlight.’ Created during a transformative trip to Los Angeles, Yeshi wrote, produced and recorded the vocals on her 25th birthday. Blending dreamy Pop with melodic Rap vocals the song is meant to reflect the feeling of stepping into a new chapter with confidence and clarity.”
“Drew Schueler is an award winning songwriter. ONe of those guys that is often labeled as the next big thing. Despite these accolades and a very promising future the phrase ... I thought by now I’d have more figured out, hit him hard.
A sentiment many of us have had in multiple phases of life, but unliket he average person Schueler was able to take that doubt and resulting emotions and create a beautiful and heartfelt track that speak to the humanity of us all.”
“Fans named this single after Alt Pop songwriter, Savanna Leigh played the song and said its called ... well, nothing yet. The track gained attention from those live shows and fans started referring it it as ‘nothing yet’ and the name stuck.
The track is a heartfelt look at a relationship you know will never work int he end and yet you plunge in anyway to pas time until you do find the right fit.”
“This Comedic Punk track starts out sounding a bit like the Phineas and Ferb theme song and it is delivered a bit tongue in cheek. That said the social commentary is very real and on point. Fox Robinson has fun but still manages to say something and if that isn’t Punk I don’t know what is.”
“This sultry Pop track is all about rekindling that spark. Terra Ranae is ‘Wild Again’ about reinvigorating that early relationship thrill by doing whatever it takes to make the bedroom sizzle like the first time. Lust and love are not always the best of bedfellows and this song aims to change that in the sultriest of ways.”
“Hamish Anderson channels the classic guitar Gods on this Blues inspired, Indie Rock track. This Aussie might hail from down under but he’s quickly rising tot he top of talented musicians imparting their will with carefully chosen songwriting and those delightful guitar licks.”
“Ava Della Pietra achieves what is truly difficult on this Holiday track, which is to give us a song that feels like Christmas without coming across as derivative of the many classics we hear over and over again. ‘You Make It Christmas’ is an a nostalgic track that takes you back in time with acoustic charm and talent.”
“Sophia B is but one of the latest talents to emerge out of Berklee and this smooth soulful track puts a new spin on heartbreak. Understanding the pain can be tough until you experience it for yourself and this song is about reflecting on a friend’s heartbreak after tasting it for yourself the first time. ‘Jason’ is a track that speaks of live and friendship and human empathy.”
“Future Bass and EDm are often all about the beat and drop with little regard to lyrical intensity. Dead Rose is not guilty of that with their latest offering, ‘Fade,’ a track that hits as hard emotionally as it does sonically. Well-written and cleanly produced the track is one yo can fall into as easy as move to the tranquil rhythms and build.”
“we all fall into a rut and life grows stagnant from time to time. Its realizing and shaking things up that can be hard. Augustine takes on this mindset with ‘Fumbling’ a soft emotional track about finding your legs and moving forward once again after a down period. The Swedish Alt Pop artist showcases talent and emotion on a well-written track performed with genuine authenticity and talent.”
“We’ve all had that one weird neighbor. Livingmore decided to take the odd experiences and sounds emitting from from their LA apartment neighbor and spin it into a song. ‘Resident Psycho’ is a gritty Alt Pop/Rock track with some old school psychedelic vibes layered in. Lyrically its more of a vibe than anything else, but the rythmn and hard-charged melody carry the day and you can feel this one in your teeth.”
“Tape Division takes on Country Pop with their latest single ‘Grip Too Tight.’ That is their description of this track but for me the sound is more soulful than country, more bluesy than Pop. This track has a Teddy Swims type vibe and style.
But genre aside the track is well-written and we’ve all certainly held on a little too tight and found ourselves in a vulnerable position as a result.”
“Meredith Adelaide delivers an emotive and honest set of lyrics on ‘What Do I know.’ The singer/songwriter taps into a soft emotional side to unfurl an almost stream of consciousness look inward and in her own vulnerability the listener can tap into their own psyche and set of emotions. The vibe is calming and peaceful and lands between Folk and a tender Pop style bit of Adult Contemporary. Though the build ramps up in tension much inthe same way our brain tends to spin on our deeper thoughts.”
“Bino Barnes offers an emotional apology of sorts with his track , ‘I’m Sorry.’ The honesty is infused into every word and along with the I’m Sorry refrain there is a wry sort of acknowledgment that things needed to change and that both parties will be better off moving forward. He manages to execute this without coming across as sardonic or bitter despite the complexity of emotions.”
“Labit is a songwriter in every sense of the word. This Filipino-American is infusing life into all eighteen track of his latest album. The namesake track, ‘Sol’ is an ode to his grandmother and takes the life lessons and wisdom she imparted and infuses it into song. Emotive and tender, the track and album are filled with both love and truth. ”
“Lily Forte comes with a bit of a throwback sound. A dash of Amy Winehouse and a splash of ZZ Ward can be heard but Forte certainly puts her own flair and talent into this track. ‘Miles To Go’ is a sultry liberation anthem that wraps around you like a silk scarf to pull you in close enough to feel warm breath on your neck.”
“We are happy to present, ‘MESSY’ the lead single from Alex Ray’s debut EP. Ray is a Nashville based Alt Pop star in the making and this track about the chaos of of staring at yourself in the mirror and coming to grips with who and what we are.
The hard charged energy is undeniable and the vocal power is expressed in a variety of ways to truly showcase Ray’s talent on multiple fronts.”
“Olive Jones deliver smooth soul-infused pop with her latest track, ‘End Of Time.’ This is a track you can easily groove to behind the wheel or with the lights turned down low and the one that you love in the sheets beside you.
Jones hails from the UK though this kind of sultry smooth vocals transcends borders, to help bring this world closer together in the very best of ways.”
