Zoe Zobrist - Guns [Music Video Reviews]
Rating: 4 out of 5
“Classic sultry rock vocals atop an energetic melody.
Little by little rock seems to be crawling out from the shadows once again and artists such as Zoe Zobrist are leading the way.”

“This is a banger to put on when you are just rollin’ or hanging with you buddies. A simple hard beat, and a straight-forward lyrics givers this track legs as an anthem among friends who want to prove their worth by trying and keep up with the flow.”
“The intro builds into a Reggae groove that drips with the emotion of trying to break down the walls of the one you love. smooth vocals and a steady beat persist to give this one a chill summer vibe, but this duet showcases the give and take of a relationship. ”
“Both the music and the video unfold like a theatrical show. Stirring emotion within and dazzling the senses both visually and auditory, Lindsey Striling is an entertainer in ever sense of the word. ”
“Funky and trippy, Freedom Fry continues to sneak attack me in the best of ways with surprising lyric progressions and an energetic spirit that makes all of their music feel alive.
The intelligent quirkiness of this band reminds me of The Presidents Of The United States Of America.”
“The vocals draw out the emotions that go along with ... simply going through the motions in a relationship.
The lyrics make you ponder both the power and the weakness of words.
Alle Farben has given us a single that both entertains with a steady beat, and enlightens with outstanding songwriting and an engaging performance.”
“This one snuck up on me. The early beat caught my attention but at first it all felt a little too clean and poppy and that made me automatically assume any emotion would be artificial. But something held my focus and kept me listening.
Soon enough the joy and simplicity of the message won me over. And when later I gave this single another listen, I found myself moving to the groove and singing along. I suppose you could say I did exactly as the title suggested. Give this one a listen and ‘Let’s Get Lost.’ ”
“With sex trafficking on the rise Miss 4Tune has a message for the world when it comes to child trafficking among adopted children. Every story should be heard and this is her story. ”
“Bravado laden flows all-too-often ring untrue and there is a thin line bullshit and bluster. Julian Write stayed on the correct side with ‘How It Feels’ by making me believe every word spit from his mouth.
Truth is a powerful thing when delivered direct and with conviction..”
“The beauty is this track feels just like what the title says ... a ‘Legacy.’
Ari has a background performing as a frontman and actor, and this, his first solo music, showcases those talents with bold bravado vocally.
I suspect we are about to hear a lot more out of ARI and already the single “Legacy” was tabbed by Rolls Royce to play a part in the luxury carmaker’s marketing for their signature model, Ghost.
Given the classic rock sounds Ari is sending forth, I can’t wait to hear more off the new album.”
“Diversity can go along way and this is one track thatll be blasted across the air waves. This cross genre track ks energetic all while maintaining its unique sound.”
“This song is just fun. Sure it’s about cheating and remorse, but the video and lyrics provide insta-revenge and in a perfect world, all would-be broken hearts would be dealt with so easily.”
“If I am honest, the first couple of measures had me eager to dismiss this single, but then that line about freshman year hit my ears and I was hooked emotionally. The vocal performance held me tight from that moment on, and both the video and the melody tied it all together.
’Damage Done’ is songwriting done right, and this is a song that showcases the power music has us to pull us in and turn our hopes, fears, and memories a direction we were not expecting. ”
“Some people and would-be artists spit shit and you know in an instant, talk is all they got. Fatboi Gwalla Gwalla talks plenty of shit, but the man has that ooomph behind his flow that makes his lyrics bump and breathe no matter what day of the week it is, ‘Thursday’ included.”
“Bottle up a powerful performance, pour in well-written lyrics, and you come away with quite the tasty offering. But doing so is never easy so kudos to JC Stewart for stomping the grapes on this track.
Emotion pervades start to finish and you won’t need a snooty sommelier to verify what you already know ... this is a great song.”
“Do-overs ... a mulligan ... second chances.
Call them what you will, but hitting the rewind button is something we all need from time to time and this single and video entertains with just that.
With pure pop glory, The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha deliver a single that does not need a second chance, but will compel you to listen a second, third, fourth time.”
“So many songs lyrics are filled with bluster and bravado, and far too often, the entire things feels like contrived bullshit.
’Save Us’ is full of confidence as well, and yet the single takes an entirely different approach to get there. From a beautiful pleading chorus sand by Rori, to the hard edged flow of Dvtch Norris, this one feels real and raw and openly breaks down the fears and insecurities without hiding behind the all-too-common false narrative of ... I’m a bad ass.
A real bad ass is willing to show us the dark places as well as the joy, the hopes and the confidence. This single does that very well.”
“An anthem to self-reliance. Smooth flow and a sweet roll deliver lyrics that convey confidence and assurance that Nilly knows how to take care of business. ”
“With a sound that leans all the way back to the 70s, and lyrics that work well (despite often seeming random until the next line or two,) I found myself captivated through several listens.
There is something unique and strange and alluring here that is very hard to pin down, but ‘The Sun Is Gonna Shine On You’ is the kind of song that you can listen to over and over again and never get bored.”
“Irish band, In Their Thousands offers a vocal delivery that slices like a surgeon’s scalpel from that first high hard note, but the deepest cut (sorry Sheryl Crow) on this one comes with the writing.
Lyrically, ‘Sit and Breathe’ delivers operating room precision and life saving emotions. That might sound like hyperbole, but a well crafted song, performed with genuine emotion can break through and be a guiding light for those whom it speaks to.
’Sit and Breathe’ is just such a song.”
