Kat Von D - Enough (Bat Cave Mix) [

April 13, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Indie Rock, Alternative

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Kat Von D is an icon. Her reach has expanded far beyond the tattoo world and you never quite know where she will be making an impact next. For now you can enjoy her sultry tones at the mic where she is supported by Dave Grohl’s masterful drumming to bring her track, ‘Enough’ to your speakers. The track is all, about mood and vibe as is Kat Von D herself. ”

Natalie Shay - Two Sparks [Music Video Review]

April 13, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Commercial, Indie Pop, Pop

    Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“From the very first note, Natalie Shay emotes the passion and emotion and those elements combined with the theatrical build of this track truly lends to hook and hold the listener for the duration.. The writing is power as is the performance, making this a single hit all the right notes both literally and figuratively. ”

Ian J in Ya Mouth - Lipton Freestyle [Music Video Review]

April 13, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Rap, Trap, Hip-Hop

      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Ian J in Ya Mouth drops this freestyle vibe and delivers it with a pure shit talking inspired flow full of bombs and witty observations. The track has a light hearted vibe, but still packs a punch when called for.

Sharp writing, timely delivery, and confident attitude are the earmarks of this track which is simply a fun listen. Like talking trash with your friends, this one simply feels like a good time.”

April 07, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Rock, Alternative

        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Pure Rock and Roll revolution! As me tentatively reenter into the post pandemic world we need a walk up song and this track is it. The Congregation has given is the ‘Soundtrack to the End of the World’ and is is hard charged and glorious so kick open the damn door and stomp on through to the other side. ”

April 05, 2022 by Kreadiv Kesh in Music, Music Videos

          Rating: 4 out of 5

“Some feel as if we have come a long way while others have feel we are being tossed backgrounds. California based rapper Jimmy Mack latest single “Walk The Line” takes us through history. It tells us lyrically and visually how so much has happened over the decades so much blood, sweat, tears and hurt but no matter the same story the movement still continues for better.”

No matter what life is throwing at you your eyes hold the gateway to the light. The light represents hope and provides positive energy even when you feel like none exists. The aesthetics is amazing as well as the band.”

                  Roet - Dad's Song[Music Video Review]

March 24, 2022 by Kreadiv Kesh in Commercial, Music Videos

                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“Losing a parent isn’t easy. Roet “Dad’s Song” expresses how the artist feels in the passing of this dad. Located in his home he shows us memories as he reveals to us his feelings. The song is short but you can feel and relate to him through his music.”
                  — Kreadiv Kesh [LA On Blogger]
“I didn’t set off to start a project about mental health. But shortly after starting Roet, I had three friends kill themselves in the span of about a year and half. Each time I felt like I couldn’t write about anything else and the way those songs gave an outlet to my friends that had lost a loved one quickly became important me. I’ve had my own experiences with depression, suicide attempts, family issues, you name it but I do feel like I’ve come out the other side of that (at least for now). So mental health is something I have a lot of opinions about and Roet has become my outlet for that, using my own life experience as the canvas to paint on.”

                    J. Graves - Valentine [Music Video Review]

March 23, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Indie Rock, Punk

                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“Taken purely as a standalone song, ‘Valentine’ is a treat for the senses. Portland’s, J. Graves has the talent and verve to pull of the track with attitude and talented flair, but you cant take this single on its solo merits alone. The [project is fun and unique as part of a musical, choose your own adventure thread. The video ends with a question and your answer will determine the next track and so forth down the line making the music truly interactive. ”

“ Summer and food is always a good vibe for me. The single “Cookin” adds musical flavor to a recipe. It gives you excitement to walk into a kitchen and cook even if it’s something as simple as a sandwich. The beat is very funky and retro but puts you in a mood to fully listen to the track and step foot into the kitchen. ”

GAYLE - luv starved [Music Video Review]

March 18, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Singer/Songwriter, Pop

                        Rating: 4 out of 5

“GAYLE is back on the heels of her super hit, ‘ABCDEFU.’ This new track, ‘luv starved’ comes with the same emotive attitude, but brings a different vibe with a more low key performance rather than the in your face tact of the last single. GAYLE utilizes more nuance in the delivery, but that same vocal rasp and emotive passion comes through making it impossible to turn away from the performance. This track cements the talent and direction for a rising star and I can’t wait to witness the trajectory.”

“I usually don’t like samples and remakes. However, these days some of the top hits are different versions of songs we heard long ago. The King Of Wordplay Steve DaMar serves us miscellaneous truth in lyrical form in his latest single “Living Single”. He uses the 90s “Living Single” intro to introduce us to his life and how he deals with not only living on his own but dealing with different decisions.

As an artist the only deals you try to make have to make sense and cents. DaMar explains this in his new visual and shows us the best decisions are usually the one’s you make on your own and the strongest relationship is the one you have with yourself.”

Dax - Dear Alcohol [Music Video Review]

March 11, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Rap, Hip-Hop, Conscious

                              Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Dax is no stranger to visitors here at LA on Lock, and as long as he keeps putting out passionate music we will continue to share this videos and be fans. ‘Dear Alcohol’ is a slower tempo track with less anger and a more reflective emotional nature than many of Dax’s hard hitting singles, but that is not to say this song does land with its own force.

We all need to stop and take time to reflect on where we are emotionally at times, and this track is about that and the realization we often use alcohol or other things to hide from what’s really plaguing our minds. ”

“This track is a throwback in some ways, as the sound is reminiscent of the glory days of hair bands, but Alexis Gerred still manages to bring this energetic Rock anthem home with a contemporary vibe.

There are hints of Red Hot Chili Peppers to the arrangement and tempo, and the track is one that is simply hard to turn away from. A perfect add for your motivational playlists, or anytime you simply want to rock out. ”

Casey Derhak - Get Back [Review]

March 11, 2022 by Kreadiv Kesh in Music Videos, Commercial

“Get Back” is a smooth track. Between enjoying the memories and dealing with heartbreak Casey aims to want more and get back to the way things were. Different scenarios play with ways to get back what they had but it remains a puzzle. ”

“I can rock with this track. When you stay in your own world people think you are acting funny or owe them something. Artist Kiez Munnie “They Say” new track is about staying in your own lane and not worrying about people that always on your back. You have to stay focus for yourself and don’t let he say she say ruin who you are. ”

REAVEN - Ordinary Heroes [Music Video Review]

“Have we all lost control of our own lives? Has social media taken over and pushed our dark sides to the forefront? Or are there some ‘Ordinary Heroes’ left that are not slaves to public perception?

These are the questions posed by REAVEN on their latest track and they are worthy ones to ask. This is an Indie Rock anthem that feels like both a protest and a wakeup call all the while offering solid entertainment and talent to back it up.”

Hotel Mira - Speaking Off the Record [Music Video Review]

“The road to stardom is fraught with all manner of stress and pitfalls as is life itself, and Hotel Mira captures that with ‘Speaking off The Record.’

Any artist worth their salt has experienced hard times as most often the tough times are the creative fuel that inspires great art. This track is candid and raw and taps into the pain and turmoil that we all feel and experience, but are often too afraid to share with the world.”
