American Authors - Nice and Easy (Acoustic) [Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Americana, Commercial

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Summer is all about energy and good times, and American Authors have brought in Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray fame to join them on this acoustic ode to kicking back and taking it ‘Nice and Easy.’

This track toes the line between Rock and Folksy sentiments, but never dips or lags in its unfailing energy and passion. Join in the party and sunshine days by adding add this single to your summer playlists.”

Otev - In My Head [Music Video Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Contemporary R&B, Autotune, Alternative

    Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“The build and progression of this track worked for me, both vocally and the beat production. Lyrically this is one that simply resonated and made me nod my affirmations as I listened. The R&B groove gives the arrangement an easy flow and the production dynamics add just enough to give the while thing a contemporary feel.

I was left wanting a bit more as the song felt short overall and could have went deeper in the writing, but all art should leave you wanting more and this one certainly did that for me.”

      Loi - Melody [Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial, Adult Contemporary

      Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Loi has the kind of vocal talent that instantly grabs hold of you and demands your undivided attention. Couple that with the fact Loi’s single, ‘Melody,’ delivers the kind of lyrical build that makes you stop what you are doing and listen to every word, a nd the song is mesmerizing in every way.

Described by others as the German Adele, Loi is a talented 18 year old with all the attributes and talent to be the next big thing. Her sounds falls somewhere between Adele and Pink and offers a big bold emotiveness with a bit of Pop magic sprinkled in. ”

Muro (feat Bobby John) - With You [Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial, Adult Contemporary, Electro Pop

        Rating: 4 out of 5

“Featuring the vocal talent of Bobby John, Muro delivers the single ‘With You.’ The track has a Chainsmokers kind of feel though with just a hint of 80’s vibes backing it all. The progression is energetic and uplifting and carried the listener forward or propels them out to the dancefloor. The build is hard not to connect and fall in as lose yourself in this track’s build. ”

Ali Schwartz - Under My Bed [Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial

          Rating: 4 out of 5

“Cutting out the negative and toxic from your life is not an easy task, but a necessary one we all face at some point. This track is all about doing so, and what worked well for me on this piece was the light, almost sing-song anthem. The rhythm that gives this single an uplifting and positive vibe absolutely shines, even as the trash is being carried out and dumped.

Ali Schwartz delivers both passion and a wry brand of humor and that made me smile all the way through this song. ”

            Nick Sanza - Breadcrumbs [Review]

August 06, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Bedroom, Commercial

            Rating: 4 out of 5

“Nick Sanza delivers the passion of a singer/songwriter laying his emotions out bare. There are comparisons to be made to Ed Sheeran in writing style, but ‘Breadcrumbs’ feels a bit more Commercial with a Electronic vibe to the overall production and sound.

The track follows a regretful lover reflecting on the past as he is reminded of what was and what could have been by the everyday things around him.”

Viktor Harter - Jerome ft. lunajoep [Review]

August 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Hip-Hop, Conscious

              Rating: 4 out of 5

“We’ve all known a ‘Jerome,’ though the name might be different — the mindset they bring with them isn’t. The groove here on this track is funky and the beat urges you to nod and move along. This single offers a good balance between old school and new vibes.

This is one of those tracks that simply worms its way into your ears and sticks for a long long time.”

Trey Triple A. x TheyCallHimAP - Paradise [Music Video Review]

August 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rap, Autotune

                Rating: 4 out of 5

“Trey Triple A. and TheyCallHimAP proves ‘Paradise’ can be found anyplace we happen to be, and that the ideal is more of a mindset than a true destination.

The build and groove here comes with a smooth yet sharp edge, and the flow hooked me from the start. The lyrical flow hooked me in and I stayed there basking in the creation of Triple A’s paradise. A smooth summer vibe that will carry through even when the days are no longer sunny.”

                  — Quote Source
“Elsewhere! has dropped the new single, “Overrated,’ which is an ironic title, because the song and talent are anything — but over rated.

Coming with a pure Indie Pop sound, the track has a bit of Bieber vibe vocally, and comes with a nice groove behind it that conjures comparisons to The 1975. This is an easy build to fall in and join if you feel like belting out the words along with the performance.”

                    Gillian Heidi - flowers [Review]

“There are a lot of breakup songs out there, and many of them are angry or jaded, and often both. This track is a bit different, as it is more of a retrospective and simply chronicles the slow unraveling of realizing the person you are with isn’t the one, even though there isn’t anything wring with them or yourself. Just a simple understanding that there is something more out there than this person can give you.

Gillian Heidi conveys all of this with stellar writing and a perfect performance.”

“Most of the time I need a track to shine right out the gate to find my connection. ‘WORK’ was a bit slower building for me, so while I remianed optimistic early on, it wasn’t until the :45 second mark or so that the passion of this flow truly hooked me in.

Once you digest the lyrics, this build makes perfect sense, but this one did take a bit for me to find my connection. Give it a listen and no doubt it will do the same for you. ”

“The best music is always timeless, and very often beyond easy genre classification. That is the case with Hot Monday’s single, ‘Pale Ember.’ There are Indie Rock elements, and Americana elements which combine to give the track a Springsteen sort of threadbare vibe as well as an emotional brand of regret that permeates the delivery and makes it all feel so real. The writing is emotionally stirring and the performance conveys the feelings in every line. ”

“Once the flow drops in — this track is a solid banger. The intro is intriguing as well, but it is her flow that truly brings the this one to life.

Full of attitude, and that Southern Rap vibe that is often attempted, but rarely landed this single simply pops. Hard bars and a thumping cadence allow the punches to land with force. Don’t sleep on this one — this is a talented artist with plenty to say. ”

The greatest fear of every parent is a health battle for their children, and while this song is directly about that event, there are things to digest here about humanity and the emotions we face even if if you have never stood in those shoes.

This song is sad and yet hopeful at the same time because of this father’s passionate flow. This truly is a track to fell deep down in your gut.”

Revel in both his love and talent, by adding this track to you summer, or energetic playlists to feel the vibes.”

GROZ - Save Me [Music Video Review]

July 29, 2021 by Kreadiv Kesh in Singer/Songwriter, Pop, Music, Music Videos

                                Rating: 5 out of 5

“The artistic delivery is phenomenal. Groz introduces us to a subtle story as a young girl then delivers her strength vocally as a woman. With the ballet dancers guiding her throughout her new single “Save Me” is about sticking around over the years because you never know when someone may need you. ”

DEZI - Sinner [Music Video Review]

“Dezi’s dramatic yet dark new single “Sinner” brings anticipation and seduction. Surrounded by things that are either good or bad for you she sings about how her sins are what makes her happy. From a dramatic beat to a slow motion toward the two mark this is a track that will have you engaged in fantasy. ”

Justin Clancy - Noose [Music Video Review]

July 29, 2021 by Kreadiv Kesh in Singer/Songwriter, Music Videos, Music

                                    Rating: 5 out of 5

“A mirror is your reflection but does it truly show who you really are. Justin Clancy’s new single “Noose” is about the dark struggles we have. Not sure what direction he is going in, Justin battles with death and not knowing how long he will want to stay in this thing called life. The visual is a focus on death but it truly is the imagery of where some people’s mind is. ”

Grace Otto - You're The Worst [Review]

July 26, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, Indie Pop

                                      Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Grace Otto is a burgeoning Pop queen. The talent, confidence, and star factor emit in every line she delivers on this breakout track.

’You’re The Worst’ is a big Pop track that feels like Katy Perry, Pink, and Miley Cyrus meshed into one, brand new bad-ass goddess ready to take on the musical world. This is one of those track you just have to hit play to fall in and become immersed in the jaded anger and righteous payback. ”

Woodward - What I'm In Need Of [Review]

July 26, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rock, Indie Rock, Commercial

                                        Rating: 4 out of 5

                                        “Rock and Roll ain’t dead!

Woodward brings some retro vibes with this contemporary Indie Rock track, but they do so without making the single feel dated in anyway.

’What I’m In Need Of’ is a hard-charged single that conjures forth bands like Foreigner, Van Halen, and Motley Crue, however, Woodward has their own modern spin and brand of sound. No fan of true rock and roll will be disappointed by this one.”
