St. Arnaud - Cle Elum, WA [Review]

April 30, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Deliberate honest emotions, and a pleasing melody behind a passionate emotive delivery. Sounds simple, but so many artists struggle to find all of these elements and distill them into a three or four minute track. St. Arnaud routinely does just that and has achieved the feat once again with ‘Cle Elum, Wa,’ a song that hooks you in and pulls you along. Hard to categorize genre wise, this track is simply good music from a talented artist. ”

Anna Thompson x Nicky Buell - AM I THE DRAMA? [Review]

April 30, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, Commercial

    Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“A dark twisty track about revenge, or at least contempt between best friends turned lovers, and ultimately into exes in every possible way. Both voices are uniquely talented and sell the emotion well. The funky groove is sinister in its composition, adding to the brooding vibes of the track.

’Am I The Drama?’ is the question of the day and this track makes it clear the drama is tangible between these two. ”

Maddie Poppe - One That Got Away [Review]

April 30, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock, Commercial, Adult Contemporary

      Rating: 4 out of 5

“This track made me think Bruno Mars meets Taylor Swift. The beat and groove are all Pop Funk, but lyrically, I hear some comparisons to the emotion Swift routinely delivers. Maddie Poppe incorporates the best elements of both on this track.

’One That Got Away’ is a snappy single that pulls the listener along with smooth grace and ease. As we enter the cusp of fun and sun, this track delivers the solid summer vibes we all need.”

        Noah Reid - Minneapolis [Review]

April 30, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Singer/Songwriter

        Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“The emotional build and delivery reminded me of Jason Isbell a great deal. You could call this a day in the life of a touring musician, but the emotional relevance certainly goes wider than that.

’Minneapolis’ is a brooding story song that takes the listener for a ride while transporting them to a place and time making the track deeply feelable. The day is tangible in the mind and in the heart as you feel every word and turn of the finely crafted melody.

And if Noah Reid looks familiar to you that is because he starred in Schitt’s Creek as Patrick. And if you haven’t watched the beloved sitcom you should fix that soon after you take a dive into Reid’s talented musical offerings. ”

          Kelaska - Tightrope [Review]

April 29, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Commercial

          Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“The need to fit in and conform overcomes us all at times, but it is easy to lose yourself while trying to please the world around us.

Kelaska offers an emotional track about that very struggle. Walking that ‘Tightrope’ is a dicey proposition but falling in on this track is anything but as the build and emotional vulnerability sell the track early before the tempo shift and a sort of fierce determination takes hold. ”

LVRBOY - when you love someone [Review]

April 29, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Pop, Electro Pop, Commercial

            Rating: 4 out of 5

“Despite our best efforts some relationships simply do not work. This is especially tough when there isn’t one great reason just a simple parting of the hearts. LVRBOY takes on this very kind of ending with ‘when you love someone’ and that is not enough to salvage a future together. Coming with a smooth grove and emotional build, this Electro Pop track speaks to and from the heart. ”

                  Review: 4 out of 5

“Jon Vinyl’s second release of the year “Favours” has a smooth intro. The song is dedicated to not being obligated to give something. Regardless if time is added people offer to give Favours even when they are on the clock. Jon’s vocals are lifting and will have you wanting more. ”

Tom Guerra - California's Got to My Girl [Review]

“Summertime vibes are in full effect with Tom Guerra’s latest single “California’s Got To My Girl”. The vocals are full of emotions and soul as he explain how his girl has falling for California. From the sun to the beach boys and the Hollywood stardom it doesn’t take much to fall in love. This track is perfect for any type of movie soundtrack. ”

Jamie Miller’s new single “Last Call” is about going out enjoying yourself but remembering who to go home to, who to call when you need a ride home, and who is your first call. The visual is fun and energetic while capturing different images of people.”

This is especially tough to do in these the days of special media and instant gratification. The balance of being a responsible adult and chasing your dreams is a tough one to juggle and sometimes it does indeed take , ‘Patience.’ ”

April 17, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music, Hip-Hop, Conscious

“A slow flowing, but deliberate and powerful track that is intricately written and unfolds with precision and confidence. Robb Hayes boldly delivers the affirmations and Jasmine Crowe lends her talent to the mix with a soulful hook and delivery that helps the listener invite the emotional impact all the way in. The track is low key motivational, but one you can listen to on repeat and pick up new nuances each time.”

Victoria Anthony - Kinda Into You [Music Video Review]

April 15, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Commercial

                                Rating: 4 out of 5

“Victoria Anthony drops this fun Pop track about falling for that new person and admitting to them and herself that she is ‘Kinda Into You.’

A fun, relatable track with nice energy and hook you can sing along to after the first chorus. This is the kind of track that can take over and be the sound of a particular summer.

And what better way to kick off the coming summer, than by catching Victoria Anthony live at The Echo on May 14th. For those not in or around LA, check out her other tour dates.”

Kat Von D - Enough (Bat Cave Mix) [

April 13, 2022 by Travis Erwin in Music Videos, Indie Rock, Alternative

                                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“Kat Von D is an icon. Her reach has expanded far beyond the tattoo world and you never quite know where she will be making an impact next. For now you can enjoy her sultry tones at the mic where she is supported by Dave Grohl’s masterful drumming to bring her track, ‘Enough’ to your speakers. The track is all, about mood and vibe as is Kat Von D herself. ”

Natalie Shay - Two Sparks [Music Video Review]

                                    Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“From the very first note, Natalie Shay emotes the passion and emotion and those elements combined with the theatrical build of this track truly lends to hook and hold the listener for the duration.. The writing is power as is the performance, making this a single hit all the right notes both literally and figuratively. ”

Ian J in Ya Mouth - Lipton Freestyle [Music Video Review]

                                      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Ian J in Ya Mouth drops this freestyle vibe and delivers it with a pure shit talking inspired flow full of bombs and witty observations. The track has a light hearted vibe, but still packs a punch when called for.

Sharp writing, timely delivery, and confident attitude are the earmarks of this track which is simply a fun listen. Like talking trash with your friends, this one simply feels like a good time.”

                                        Rating: 4 out of 5

“De’Wayne unleashes this Alt-Rock track about being true to yourself rather than allowing your need to fit in or the demands of society dictate who and what you are. This energetic ode tp personal freedom feels unique in its arrangement and construction and highlights the artistry every step of the way. ”
