Shayla McDaniel - Awake [Music Review]

March 14, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock, Indie Pop

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Shayla McDaniel delivers this track with a vocal precision that intensifies along with the lyrical build, and by the first chorus I was hooked for good. With each subsequent listen I felt more connected with both the words and performance. This is a track that wraps around you like a warm blanket and simply feels like genuine comfort.”

Rashaad Lee - What 4 [Review]

March 14, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

    Rating: 4 out of 5

“Love how the intro holds you with the solo from the piano. The rawness of Rashaad Lee mixed with the “pretty” production makes for a great musical marriage. The artist’s voice and tone are so distinctive and perfect for the track. Almost gives a chopped and screwed feel without being chopped or screwed. Could definitely see this record being big in the Texas market.”

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike x Danna Paola x NE-YO - Mexico [Music Video Review]

March 14, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

      Rating: 4 out of 5

“If nothing else, Ne-Yo will forever come through with the lyrics. Real party record that still manages to evoke your emotions. This could be a huge record in the international, dance and house music scene. Both vocalist compliment each other throughout the song in an enchanting back and forth banter. ”

JoDolo x Mr. Severe - Drug Music [Music Video Review]

March 14, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

        Rating: 3 out of 5

“This track gives nostalgic Wu Tang vibes. Raw uncut vocals over simple piano, high hats and a snapping snare. The type of music that you just sit back and listen to when just sitting around having drinks with friends. ”

MIIA -Skin of a Fool (feat. Vaarin) [Music Review]

March 14, 2023 by Kreadiv Kesh

          Rating: 4 out of 5

“The angelic chords and vocals from the beginning of the track automatically draw you in. The vocalist cuts through the track but somehow remains right in pocket of the instrumentation. Could definitely see this as a soundtrack cut in any emotionally driven motion picture. ”

Bad Flamingo - Keep Off of You [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Rock

            Rating: 4 out of 5

“As always, Bad Flamingo delivers a true vibe with their music. This latest single, ‘Keep Off of You’ has hints of Alt-Country with a bit of a Billie Eilish feel at times. The attitude, and mysterious sexiness of the band adds to the allure, though at the end of the day, it is rich vocal tones and a razor sharp lyrical edge that cuts through the fray and makes Bad Flamingo stand out.

I hope to catch these power duo live and in person one of these days, and until then I look forward to see what they unfurl next.”

GAYLE - everybody hates me [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Commercial, Pop, Punk, Rock

              Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“GAYLE has established her talented presence with a string of hits and her latest release, ‘Everybody Hates Me,’ is the next offering from this rising star. The energy is a bit tongue-in-cheek and sarcastic, though the emotions and vulnerability are also lurking there in the mix.

GAYLE has the ability to create entertaining and fun vibes while still coming with a bit of hard-edged truth to the lyrical content as well.”

Morgan Lane - All In My Head (feat. Bailey Jehl) [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Future Bass, EDM, Dance, Pop

                Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Heartaches and breakups might be the most written about subject matter so it it is tough to stand out with those themes and yet, Morgan Lane in conjunction with the vocal talent of Bailey Jehl manages just that. ‘All In MY Head’ is about the disorienting feeling of seeing your former partner move on quickly and completely leaving you to wonder of what you felt was ... All in your head. ”

VAVO - Waitin' On It [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Deep House, Dance, EDM

                  Rating: 4 out of 5

“VAVO has exploded recently so if they have been ‘Waitin’ In It,’ they don’t have to wait any longer. Coming on the heels of their smash hit, ‘Take Me Home,’ the duo is currently sitting on top of charts and the Dance Pop world.

This track has a slightly subdued feel that is the perfect follow and shows a bit of diversity that will help carry them a long way to longevity. ”

Lisa Heller - Hollow [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Bedroom, Pop, Indie Pop, Commercial

                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“I don’t always connect with the soft distant production values of Bedroom Pop, but some track simply fit well into such a structure and set of dynamics. Lisa Heller’s ‘Hollow’ is such a song as it dips and soars in the same manner our emotions do and the writing, in conjunction with Heller’s talented delivery, brings that all to life on this disarming single. ”

Dylan Dunlap - Right [Music Review]

March 10, 2023 by Travis Erwin in Music, Singer/Songwriter

                      Rating: 4 out of 5

“Dylan Dunlap delivers his single, ‘Right,’ with emotional precision and a delicate, yet deliberate build that highlights his vocal range and talent. Diving in on his own vulnerability and longing, Dunlap gives us a song we can all relate to as we struggle to find solid ground after a rough breakup.

A beautiful track that makes sense of what can be a disorienting experience. ”

Soft and tranquil and rich in tone much like Norah Jones, Dot. takes us an a smooth easy vocal journey through being proud and happy with your work and not succumbing to the outside pressure of bending your art to the needs and wants of others. ”

“Sometimes you just have to smile and this track certainly delivers that. The timing and delivery of the flow highlight legit skills and yet the combination of vocal tone and comical lyrics reminded me a bit of old school Adam Sandler. I rarely connect to songs intended to be comedic, but the funky musical edge and wry wit worked for me on this track and the video adds to the tongue in cheek vibe. ”

This three piece Southern California Ska band has carved a name for themselves regionally and is poised to climb even higher with strong writing and the talent to performs it all live.”

The Vaxxines have just what the doctor orders with their energetic track, ‘Drink Beer and Destroy.’ No it’s not Celtic Rock per say, though I can imagine holding a glass high and belting this out with other patrons in an Irish pub any day of the year.”

Each set of vocals delivers a different tone, and yet they all mesh and sync to create one wondrous piece of music. Lyrically, the track has just as much to offer, and I’ll definitely be adding this one to several playlists and listening to it for years to come.”

Slow Coda -Mall Walker [Music Video Review]

“This song gives everything 80s. It’s a feel good tune with soft vocals intriguing lyrics. The solo mid song gives almost video game type feels that take me back to my childhood. Overall that track rocks.”

                                    Grand Am -The Turnaround [Review]

“The arrangement of this songs instrumentation takes me back to when music had real musical arrangements. The rawness of the instrumentation makes you feel as if the group is right in front of you performing the song. The vocals are light but stand strong over the production. The lead has the type of smooth vocal delivery that keeps the ear yearning for more.”

“I was immediately taken in by the vocals of this artist. If Boy Georgia meshed with Sam Smith these are the vocal tones I would imagine. The production is very chill and allows the artist the room to freely ride the beat and act as its own instrument. This track invokes emotions naturally simply by the playful back and forth from natural to falsetto by the lead vocalist. This music could be a soundtrack piece for any romance movie in today’s world. Overall great arrangement.”
