Maty Noyes - Idea [Review]

Rating 3 out of 5

Idea is a near perfect slice of fresh pop. The record has a hypnotic quality with its sparse production and catchy vocals. I mean who hasn’t been caught up in the idea of something and someone and then the sobering reality comes crashing down and you just hope they say it so you don’t have to... or is that just me & Maty?

April Jai - I Kissed A Girl (Cover) [Review]

Rating 4 out of 5

April took a big and almost cheesy pop song and brought it right back down to earth and made it her own. Aprils version is so tender and and vulnerable. The lyrics are totally reframed into the honest self-reflection that they are. Absolutely beautiful.

Burner Phone Ft. Wakai, Diani, Isaac Rich & jah. - Halfway [Review]

Rating 4 out of 5

Find a patch a grass, some headphones maybe a lil drink a lil s**** and lose yourself in this record. ‘Halfway’ is heady without losing you on the journey. All the vocalists bring something fresh a unique to the song and the soulful production is the glue. Everything about this record is hypnotic and effortless. A late contender for jam of the summer.

Femke - Love Somebody Else [Music Video Review]

Rating 3 out of 5

Even the devil was an angel sometimes” is such a poignant line, and thats what Femke does so well on this record. No word is wasted, Love Somebody Else is vidid poetry. The vocal performance is so honest and pure you can’t help but daydream of every love you’ve ever lost.

Rating 3 out of 5

Sometimes a record has so much energy you wanna flip the the table over and start jumping on the cash register of the coffee shop you’re currently writing from... just me? Well ‘Pop Out’ has so much energy and bounce you can’t help but have a visceral reaction. A1 is really putting on for Alabama and city should be proud. This record reminds me that music is simple, just make something that makes us feel something. Pop Out has me FEELING!
