Regan Aliyah - Walkout [Music Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“You might know Regan Aliyah from her starring role in Netflix’s “XO Kitty” or from Marvel Studios’ “Ironheart,” but welcome to a new side of the multi-talented star. “Walkout’ is the latest creation from this artist and the infectious Hip-Hop anthem is one you are about t hear a lot more.

The track comes in with verve and a old school backing, but then her flow hits and hooks the listener for the entire ride. Attitude, and a hint of sultry vibe come along with the intense delivery and confidence that borders on cocky.”

The Allergies x Dynamite Mc - One Time [Music Video Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“The Allergies and Dynamite Mc team up to give us this smooth retro groove that is a vibe start to finish.

The writing has pop, and the delivery distills the words with passion into a soulful libation that will quench your thirst. ‘One Time’ has a vintage vibe, but avoids feeling reminiscent simply for the sake of nostalgia.

The flow has a tangible feel that feels like settling in for a long conversation with a tried and true friend.”

Peach3 - Ghostryde It [Music Video Review]

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Peach3 is the Gen Z version of TLC you didn’t know you needed. Old school Trap Hip-Hip with a bit of Pop sensibility gives this track the Commercial edge to stand out in the marketplace, but it is the verve and attitude that truly separates the trio from everyone else. Either you have it or you don’t and these Atlanta natives clearly do.

Lyrically, I did crave more as ‘Ghostrude It’ relies heavily on the hook and bounce to carry the song, but I am eager to see where this trio goes as they establish themselves.”

I AM SOPHIA - Meet in the Middle [Music Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“The world is unmistakably fractured and one of the few unifiers is music. I AM SOPHIA address the divided nature of society but offers a plea to ... ‘Meet In The Middle.’

The track has a Retro Soul vibe with a little dash of Reggae to spice up the offering. I have to think Bob Marley would be proud of the talent and of the message. ”

Estella Dawn - 514 Denim [Music Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Estella Dawn is a talented artist I feature often here at LA on Lock. This New Zealand native now calls San Diego home, but sometime soon the entire world will claim her as one of their own as this kind of talent finds a way to shine bright.

’514’ Denim’ is a smooth Electro Pop kind of track that fits right alongside some of the biggest hits out right now. I’ve written this before but I am going o write it again .. get on board with this star now! ”

Lily Meola - Gasoline [Music Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“I often struggle to connect to vocals delivered in a high register but not this time. Lily Meola has a very emotive delivery that works for her higher, softer tone.

’Gasoline’ is the latest release from Meola who has captured the attention and mentorship of Willie Nelson. The track leans slightly to a Pop Folk sort of sound that feels alive and vibrant.”

Roots of Creation with Matisyahu - Ocean Moon (Live at Sugarshack Sessions - Reggae Rise Up FL) [Music Review]

“Recorded live at a Florida Reggae festival this track simply feels alive. Riding a Reggae rock kind of vibe the collaborative effort is born of friendship and respect and decades of honing the craft. A true groove piece that captures the sense of Reggae in a lively and passionate way. The live crowd adds to the atmosphere of the track. ”

Don Diablo x R3HAB - Disco Marathon (feat. NEEKA) [Music Review]

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Dan Diablo and R3HAB join forces along with NEEKA to create a song that is best described as ABBA meets 2024.

The track has both an Electro Pop and House music vibe and the resulting sound is hard not to fall in and sing along with. The beat and production are just as engaging as the vocal performance.

A fun track that will put a smile on your face and some sway in those hips. Give ‘Disco Marathon’ a listen and feel the mesh of the 70’s as it blends with the spirit of today.”

Eden Rain - Palo Alto [Music Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Eden Rain has the kind of vocal prowess that captivates from the very first note. ‘Palo Alto’ is a song of heart ache and longing’ and how the person’s memory can sneak up on you in unexpected ways.

A tender and vulnerable song, ‘Palo Alto’ is human and the emotions are acutely tangible. Eden Rain is an artist I am eager to hear more of in the near future.”

Fast Money Music - Space Opera [Music Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Riding a nostalgic 80s vibe at times, Fast Money Music, launches ‘Space Opera’ into orbit, and the fun offering is one with some true gravitational pull.

New Wave synths, horns, an indifferent brand of attitude and defiance permeates the entire thing. Unique in all the best ways this track is simply a vibe start to finish.”

Kenny Sharp - Stomp & Holler (feat. Mikki Brayboy) -[Music Review]

“The track truly took off for me with the tempo shift around :35 seconds in, though the initial build was intriguing enough to hold me until the song came alive. The back and forth tempo and vocal delivery is well crafted, and the overall track is uplifting and true to the human spirit.

Kenny Sharp will certainly draw comparisons to Mumford and The Lumineers and there isn’t anything wrong with that, but this track is far from derivative so it stands on its own just fine.

The addition of Micki Brayboy adds to the talent and gives the song another layer.”

Shrey Panda - Conquest [Music Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“A Hip-Hop violinist out of Austin Texas, Shrey Panda is creating a very unique sound. This Instrumental track infuses Hip-Hop sensibilities with Classical music and the talent behind it pours forth like the flow of a dark mysterious river you just can’t turn away from. The track has some harder, almost Industrial tones as it builds and unfurls keeping the listener on the edge of their seat for what will come next.”

Wade - Hurricane [Music Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“Wade unleashes an infectious Deep House build with his latest track, ‘Hurricane.’ If you don’t want to get up and move you just might be dead ont he inside.

The lyrics blend well witht he beat and build and while you won’t be listening to this one to uncover the deep meaning of life, you will be pulled in and invested for the entire ride as you move to that beat. ”

Trees and Timber - All the Best [Music Review]

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Trees and Timber are a vibe. Pinning a style on the sound of this track is tough, but call it Indie Rock if you must have one.

I hear Punk, Folk, Rock vibes throughout and the vocals have sort of a wry reverence to really bring them home. “All The Best’ is a glimmer of hope in a darkening world. ”

Mallow Hill - Thinkin' Bout My Baby [Music Review

Rating: 4 out of 5

“This track introduces the world to Mallow Hill as it is the band’s debut single. ‘Thinkin’ Bout My Baby’ drips with sultry Blues and the vocal tone has a bit of Winehouse over the top of a Gary Clark Jr. musical vibe.

’Thinkin’ Bout My Baby’ is about the personal growth and realization of habits formed from toxic relationships and how we all tend to slip on a pair of familiar shoes even though the damn things tend to hurt our feet. ”

Emma Kade - End Game [Music Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“I rarely like Pop Country offerings because straddling the fence tends to do little more than leave you with a crotch full of splinters. That said, Emma Kade, does it well on this song.

’End Game’ is a throwback of sorts to a time when artists like Shania Twain, Tricia Yearwood, and later Taylor Swift toed that line between Country emotion and Pop sound and structure. Kade has managed to achieve the same brand of engaging song with a contemporary vibe that will no doubt hold crossover appeal. ”

Zoë Vera - Don't Make It My Fault [Music Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Heartbreak is one of the cornerstones of songwriting, with untold songs written on the subject, and yet talented artists like Zoë Vera continue to dip into this emotional well.

’Don’t Make It My Fault’ is about love gone wrong but Vera’s manages to give us a vulnerable and tender song without delving into the anger or jaded skepticism often found in such songs. Her vocal range and emotive delivery is impressive and this song has a haunting quality that makes you want to give her a comforting hug afterward.”

Julia Logan - Mirrors [Music Review]

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“Swedish artist, Julia Logan offers this Folk Pop track that is long on heart and soul and short of unnecessary production and glitter. The style is straightforward and heartfelt.

Logan lets the emotion do the heavy lifting, though her emotive vocal talent certainly draws the listener in, making it easy to kick back and let the words and melody wash over you.”

Tiger La Flor - hollywood cemetery [Music Review]

Rating: 4 out of 5

“The allure of stardom and fame has led to more than one tragic death and for some like Marilyn Monroe those deaths serve to fuel the legends and desire for everlasting mortality in the name of star power. Tiger La Flor utilizes this in her latest single, ‘hollywood cemetery.”

The track has an epic feel with hints of nostalgia sprinkled in both the lyrics and musical style. This Pop leaning track has an air of mystery and allure capturing the glory as well as the guts of a storied past.”

August Echoes - Lucky You [Music Review]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

“Fake it until you make it is a way to get ahead professionally, but it is a poor method for finding internal happiness. And yet we all plaster on that fake smile at times and pretend we are doing just fine when we’re not.

August Echoes does a magnificent job of utilizing an upbeat musical arrangement and heavier, darker lyrics to showcase this dynamic. In a track that at first glance feels bright and cheerful, the true meaning and vibe is one of despair and uncertainty. This mirrors how many of us go through our days.

’Lucky You’ is a track with intelligence and foresight ,and if you truly listen a bit of insight into our humanity. ”
