EĐĐIE - Livia [Review]

March 19, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Rock, Pop, Indie Pop, Indie Rock
“A hard-charging song about a girl named ‘Livia.’ On the surface you might wonder why you are supposed to care about Livia or her namesake song, but the energy here is palpable and the rock permeates a timeless vibe that feels both classic and contemporary instantly. A big bold track that hooks you and puts you right there yearning for Livia.”

    P Double - Paid [Review]

March 16, 2021 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop

    Rating: 4 out of 5

“Instantly as soon as you hit play on “Paid” the instruments put you in the vibe. I love the line in the hook “You do whatever you want when you paid”. Reminds me of how I feel after cashing a check & walking out the bank lol. ”

Tayo Sound - Runaway [Music Video Review]

      Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“ You ever felt like escaping? Tayo Sound’s new single ‘Runaway’ is about escaping and also going all over the world for someone or something. I like the cartoon illustration and the emotional discovery it gives in regards to love and connections. ”

Eunice Janine x Tommy Will - Lies [Review]

March 16, 2021 by Kreadiv Kesh in Music, Commercial, Neo-Soul

        Rating: 3.5 out of 5

“We all are tired of lies but love makes it hard to control. Eunice and Tommy deliver a seductive song about making choices. The song displays everything that people experience when it comes to the truth and the lie. The ending is delivered from a poetic stance but you feel the emotional connection overall. ”

emlyn - a thousand parties [Review]

March 12, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Electro Pop, Indie Pop, Commercial

              Rating: 4 out of 5

“Inspired by the great literary love stories, Emlyn has given us a passionate love song of sorts, despite the fact she admits to never having been in love herself.

’A Thousand Parties’ is a big bold Pop track that would be right at time on a Demi Lovato album. The boisterous vocals drive it all home giving this track a huge presence.”

“I for one do not think we should feel guilty about pursuing our pleasures, but there is no denying the saying ‘Guilty PLeasure’ makes for a nice hook here on this track. The two set of vocals intertwine and mix well in this energetic Electro Pop single.

Co-dependency has never been more fun than this lively track.”

“A year has past but the hurt, trauma, healing and fight still exists. 912Keem releases their new song Long Live Abe. What started out as was walk/run through the city lead to a violent ending. 912Keem not only walks us through their view but they musically connect us to their emotional feelings. A lot of weight is carried but no one ever sees the scars. ”

So raise a pint, make it green if that’s your thing, and revel in the day it’s okay to get shitfaced. Actually this past year, we’ve all had many of those days and hey that’s okay too because sometimes you just gotta play the cards as they’re dealt. This is a fun Celtic Punk track perfect for the year and the season.”

“ Take a look in the mirror and embrace who you are. On The Outside’s new single ‘How Beautiful’ is kicking out apologies and encouraging everyone to love who they are. The songs promotes body positivity and explains to everyone even if there is one thing you don’t like that is one thing that makes you perfect to someone else.”
                            — Kreadiv Kesh (LA On Lock Blogger)
“They have been coined “The Official Boy Band of TikTok”. Comprised of five immensely talented members Andrew Bloom, Dawson Huckabee, Devin Hayes, Jon Klaasen and Sam Jenkins, the Los Angeles-based group proposes a reevaluation of beauty standards ahead of a fast-approaching International Women’s Day. Aligned with their gripping new single “How Beautiful”, On the Outside challenges society’s comparison culture’ in order to uplift those who feel weighed down by an unrealistic beauty bar. Partnered with the JED Foundation, the band leads a conversation in acknowledgement of a social landscape overrun with anxiety, depression, suicide and poor self esteem. Very much in sync with their army of dedicated fans affectionately known as “Outsiders”, the band encourages everyone to embrace what makes them unique by finding the beauty within. ”

On The Outside’s “How Beautiful” is a song inspired by today’s comparison culture. Social media and contemporary advertising campaigns continue to set an unrealistic beauty bar that focuses an emphasis on physical beauty rather than the inner beauty within all of us. The result is a society overrun with anxiety, depression, suicide and poor self esteem. The lyrical intent of “How Beautiful” is to refocus the lens of what beauty is and how beauty can be found everywhere...and in everyone. In the verses, the lyric asks the listener to stop apologizing for not living up to unattainable standards and “take some time to learn what’s inside”. The song builds with the pre-chorus plea of “I wish you could see what I see” suggesting perhaps that often times the glare of our own mirrors hides what makes us shine. Finally, the chorus is almost mantra-like in its simplicity posing the simple, yet often difficult question...”do you even know just how beautiful you are?”. The sincere hope behind “How Beautiful” is to help reshape how we see ourselves and encourages everyone to find what makes them uniquely beautiful. If you look a little deeper, it exists in all of us.

Sun Kiss - I Can't Help But Care [Review]

March 08, 2021 by Kreadiv Kesh in Soul, Electro Pop

                              Rating: 4 out of 5

“The house is burning, the toilet flooding, the cops are coming and we are all out of money but I can’t help but care. SunKiss gives a dramatic yet interesting song. A solo comes in around the 2 mark but this is sure a song you will find yourself singing along with. It’s one of those songs that really doesn’t make sense but sounds so damn good. ”

“Sometimes you have to allow yourself to relax and feel the melody. Rinse,Repeat, Regress is self care delivered in a song. It speaks on opening yourself to others once you learn to love yourself first. Justy is a poetic artist with a poignant piece of advice “When I love myself again, I could love again.””

Saint Raymond - Soft Landing [Music Video Review]

March 05, 2021 by Travis Erwin in Music, Indie Pop

                                    Rating: 4 out of 5

“This track is for anyone that has ever taken a leap or gone in search of themselves only to discover that the person you once were is not the same person you are now. Delivered with an emotionally bare and vulnerable performance the track is a ‘Soft Landing’ for the senses that simply feels true and genuine. There is a hint of Folk but the overriding feel is Indie Pop and it simply works well.”

A feel good track with a nice energy, this could be one of those tracks that dominates airwaves and earbuds this coming summer,a s it delivers that kind of Pop magic vibe.”

Jordan Baumstark - Fashionably Late [Music Video Review]

“Jordan Baumstark for sure conjures Mac Miller vibes, but the retro funk and groove to this track ads an old school feeling to the mix as well. This is one of those tracks that feels like something you’ve heard before from your very first listen. Not in an unoriginal copycat or tired sort of way, but in that it just feels comfortable and classic.”
